The 3rd Group Semi-finalists of American Idol will perform on this Tuesday (March 4, 2009). This group consists of:
1. Kristen McNamara (singing Give Me One Reason by Tracy Chapman)
2. Arianna Afsar (singing The Winner Takes It All by Abba)
3. Felicia Barton (singing sing No One by Alicia Keyes)
4. Lil Rounds (singing Can’t Be Without You by Mary J)
5. Kendall Beard (singing This One’s For the Girls by Martina McBride)
6. Nathaniel Marshall (singing I Would Do Anything For Love by Meatloaf)
7. Scott Macintyre (singing Mandolin Rain)
8. Taylor Vaifanua (singing If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keyes)
9. Von Smith (singing You’re All I Need by by Marvin Gaye )
10.Alex Wagner Trugman (singing That’s Why They Call It the Blues by Elton John)
11.Jorge Nunez Mendez (singing Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me by Elton John)
12.Junot Joyner (singing Hey There Delilah)
Who will be the next lucky three to join the top 12 finalists of AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 8? The result will be revealed on Wednesday (March 5, 2009).
Three semifinalists will advance on the live results show the following night, Wednesday. During the “Wild Card” episode Thursday, judges will offer previously eliminated contestants a second chance to perform and earn a spot in the Top 12. Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace and Michael Sarver advanced in Group One while Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen, and Adam Lambert will represent Group Two in the finals.
This week’s schedule:
Tue 7-9p EST, Group Three performs
Wed 7-8p EST, Results Show
Thu 7-8p EST, Wild Card show
Starting March 10, the Top 12 Finalists will perform Tuesdays. One contestant will be pared from the group during each Wednesday night’s Results Show.

The top three tonight are Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntrye and Jorge Nunez.
The wild card contestants were Von Smith, Jasmine Murray, Ricky Braddy, Megan Corkey, Tatiana Del Torro, Jessica Langseth, Anoop “Dog” Desai.
