Well, why wouldn’t he say such a stupid thing? After all, he’s been wrong about everything else. It’s perfectly reasonable that Obama would oppose corporations donating money to political campaigns. Where do oil, coal and pharmaceutical companies, get off thinking they should have the same right as the UAW, the SEIU, ACORN and George Soros, to finance elections? For that matter, while whining about some corporations playing a role in the election process, I haven’t heard Obama say boo about the role that such corporations as NBC, CBS, ABC, the Washington Post or the New York Times, have played in creating and burnishing his image. But, then, who are regular, run-of-the-mill, tax-paying Americans to question Obama? He’s brilliant, after all. It’s not just liberals who say so, either. I keep hearing people like Bill O’Reilly saying so day after day. The problem is that I keep looking for signs of his brilliance, and looking and looking. It doesn’t help that the O’Reillys of the world never point out any examples. Still, if Obama is so brilliant, why does he parrot the words and thoughts of a bunch of schmucks like Karl Marx, Saul Alinsky, Al Gore and Michael Moore? Why does he insist that the trouble with the Constitution and the Civil Rights movement is that they didn’t focus on the redistribution of wealth? Why would he hand over the federal budget to a couple of morons like Pelosi and Reid? And why on earth would he put Henry Waxman in charge of his energy program? A brilliant person wouldn’t trust Waxman to bring baked beans to a picnic. When someone decides to model a health care plan after such dismal failures as England, Canada and Cuba, while exhuming the failed economic policies of FDR, why would anyone suggest he is anything but a left-wing ignoramus? This is an American president, for heaven’s sake, who has more in common with Noam Chomsky, Hugo Chavez and some Berkeley hippie than he has with Washington, Jefferson and Adams. Except that he is now 30 years older, Obama seems to think exactly the same way he was thinking back in college, when he was a pot-smoking idiot who sought out students who were self-professed revolutionaries and professors who were communists. If we have come to a point where the ability to read scripted lines off a Teleprompter is considered a sign of brilliance, no matter how fatuous the actual words may be, we are in even worse shape than I imagined. In a movie I loved, “The Princess Bride,” the villain, Vizzini (Wallace Shawn), keeps saying “Inconceivable!” each time something happens that he failed to anticipate, mainly because, in his arrogance, he underestimated his adversary. Finally, after he has said “Inconceivable!” once too often, one of his cohorts turns to him and says, “I don’t think that word means what you think it does.” But I wouldn’t want to leave liberals and some goofy conservatives entirely speechless when it comes to describing the president. So to fill the void, I’m happy to supply them with some options, such as stubborn, pompous, inflexible, dishonest, officious, partisan, unpatriotic, duplicitous, socialist, untrustworthy and dictatorial. Any of those words is far more fitting than brilliant, as are self-enamored, egotistical, narcissistic, long-winded and boring. You want to know who I think is truly brilliant? Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, that’s who. His demeanor is pleasant and his decisions are invariably sensible and well-considered. And that includes his most recent decision, which was to skip Obama’s State of the Union harangue Pick Up Burt Prelutsky’s New BookLiberals: America’s Termites or It’s a Shame That Liberals, Unlike Hamsters, Never Eat Their Young. The title pretty much says it all – Prelutsky isn’t afraid to say what he thinks, and his short book is chock full of hysterical one-liners and RPG attacks on the left.

We don’t like having our time wasted with trillion-dollar statist fantasies, when our government is already trillions of dollars in the red. We’re tired of checking the papers each day, to see which group of us has been targeted as enemies of the State. We’re growing impatient waiting for the Democrats to come up with ideas that don’t require their supporters to hate someone. We’ve had our fill of “progressives” who act as if we’re living in 1909, and none of their diseased policies have ever been tried before. We believe government should be punished for failing to live up to the expectations of its citizens, not the other way around. We don’t think people who destroy thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in market value should get a pass because they meant well. We’ve had enough of dodging a massive State that wants to organize, subsidize, penalize, and divide us. We refuse to pay tithe to a religion we don’t support, including the official State religion of global warming. We demand honesty, humility, and transparency from our public servants, no matter how many elections they’ve won. We won’t settle for making the only important decisions about our futures in the voting booth, once every couple of years. We don’t blame people for showing up to grab their share of a government handout. We blame the people who stole the money from the rest of us, and put it on the table for them. We don’t think respect for private property ends at a certain income level, or that only some people should be applauded for doing their best to get ahead in life. We believe in the power and righteousness of capitalism, the exchange of goods and services between free people acting in their own best interests. There is no moral substitute for it. Every other scheme for governing human affairs amounts to a few dominating some, to the applause of others. Our freedom is not for sale, and we reserve the right to defend it from theft. We don’t invest our hopes in the government. It is beneath the dignity of free men and women to spend their days hoping a politician decides to provide for our needs. We face the future, not with passive and helpless “hope”, but with active and dynamic faith in ourselves, and our fellow Americans. We are opposed to a political class that tries to cultivate our hopes by showering us with fear. We don’t trust politicians with our fortunes, much less with our lives. In fact, we don’t trust politicians much at all… but we absolutely require them to trust us. We do not regard America as the sole country on Earth that should be forbidden from taking pride in its history, traditions, and achievements. We reject the notion that celebrating our traditions is an automatic insult to anyone else. We owe absolutely no apologies to murderous dictators or unelected tyrants, and we care little for their feelings. We believe there are many lessons to be learned from our history, by all the people of the world, and we cannot teach those lessons if we allow ourselves to be shamed into silence. We will never hesitate to call evil by its proper name, or give evil men good reasons to fear us. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have a lot of work to do. There’s an election coming up next year.</blockquote>

Unnumbered lives were sacrificed on the ungodly altar of communism in the last century, not only in my temporary abode of Yugoslavia but throughout eastern Europe, Russia, and much of Asia, Africa, and South America, and now the American Left wishes to revive this monstrous ideology on our own shores. Every totalitarian regime begins with the same heartfelt promises of justice and equality, just those promises of fairness that Barack Obama has made the fixation of his political career. What tyrant, one might ask, has not risen to power on promises of benevolent change? Soon, however, those who come to power, even with good intentions, discover that for all men to be made equal, some men must be made poor, and most men will not agree to be made poor in the absence of force. So force must be applied, assets must be seized, censorship must be imposed, dissidents must be jailed, enemies must be destroyed. Men must be made equal by any means necessary, and soon enough those means include intimidation, imprisonment, and execution. Again and again, the handsome smile of the reformer is twisted into the callous sneer of the tyrant. Those who present themselves as saviors are always the most dangerous, for unlike the one true savior, who rendered unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, they must work their will on the things of this world, and one cannot remake the world without the application of force. Catastrophe, mind you. So much for President Barack Obama, who in his inaugural address two weeks earlier declared "we have chosen hope over fear." Until, that is, you need fear to pass a bill. And so much for the promise to banish the money changers and influence peddlers from the temple. An ostentatious executive order banning lobbyists was immediately followed by the nomination of at least a dozen current or former lobbyists to high positions. Followed by a Treasury secretary who allegedly couldn't understand the payroll tax provisions in his 1040. Followed by Tom Daschle, who had to fall on his sword according to the new Washington rule that no cabinet can have more than one tax delinquent. The Daschle affair was more serious because his offense involved more than taxes. As Michael Kinsley once observed, in Washington the real scandal isn't what's illegal, but what's legal. Not paying taxes is one thing. But what made this case intolerable was the perfectly legal dealings that amassed Daschle $5.2 million in just two years. He'd been getting $1 million per year from a law firm. But he's not a lawyer, nor a registered lobbyist. You don't get paid this kind of money to instruct partners on the Senate markup process. You get it for picking up the phone and peddling influence. At least Timothy Geithner, the tax-challenged Treasury secretary, had been working for years as a humble international civil servant earning nonstratospheric wages. Daschle, who had made another cool million a year (plus chauffeur and Caddy) for unspecified services to a pal's private-equity firm, represented everything Obama said he'd come to Washington to upend. And yet more damaging to Obama's image than all the hypocrisies in the appointment process is his signature bill, the stimulus package. He inexplicably delegated the writing to Nancy Pelosi and the barons of the House. The product, which inevitably carries Obama's name, was not just bad, not just flawed, but a legislative abomination. It's not just pages and pages of special-interest tax breaks, giveaways and protections, one of which would set off a ruinous Smoot-Hawley trade war. It's not just the waste, such as the $88.6 million for new construction for Milwaukee Public Schools, which, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, have shrinking enrollment, 15 vacant schools and, quite logically, no plans for new construction. It's the essential fraud of rushing through a bill in which the normal rules (committee hearings, finding revenue to pay for the programs) are suspended on the grounds that a national emergency requires an immediate job-creating stimulus -- and then throwing into it hundreds of billions that have nothing to do with stimulus, that Congress' own budget office says won't be spent until 2011 and beyond, and that are little more than the back-scratching, special-interest, lobby-driven parochialism that Obama came to Washington to abolish. He said. Not just to abolish but to create something new -- a new politics where the moneyed pork-barreling and corrupt logrolling of the past would give way to a bottom-up, grass-roots participatory democracy. That is what made Obama so dazzling and new. Turns out the "fierce urgency of now" includes $150 million for livestock insurance. The Age of Obama begins with perhaps the greatest frenzy of old-politics influence peddling ever seen in Washington. By the time the stimulus bill reached the Senate, reports The Wall Street Journal, pharmaceutical and high-tech companies were lobbying furiously for a plan to repatriate overseas profits that would yield major tax savings. California wine growers and Florida citrus producers were fighting to change a single phrase in one provision. Substituting planted for ready to market would mean a windfall garnered from a new "bonus depreciation" incentive. After Obama's miraculous 2008 presidential campaign, it was clear that at some point the magical mystery tour would have to end. The nation would rub its eyes and begin to emerge from its reverie. The hallucinatory Obama would give way to the mere mortal. The great ethical transformations promised would be seen as a fairy tale that all presidents tell -- and that this president told better than anyone. I thought the awakening would take six months. President Obama freely admits he has no clue what to do about the 250 inmates now housed there, but he's given his staff a year to come up with an answer. He's only been in office a matter of hours and he's already hamstrung his own administration. What about future threats? The day before Obama took the oath of office, British newspapers reported the deaths of up to 40 terrorists in Algeria from the "Black Death" – the Plague. The London Sun reported that the terrorists died "horribly" at a forest training camp in Algeria. The terrorists were members of AQLIM, al-Qaida in the Land of Maghreb, whom the Sun identified as the largest and most powerful al-Qaida group outside the Middle East. Somewhat cheerfully, the paper noted that al-Qaida chiefs are worried that the Plague might have infected other terrorist cells. On a less cheery note is the possibility that the disease was passed on in weaponized form to other cells, or worse. Bubonic Plague is spread by bites from infected rat fleas. On the other hand, the Pneumonic Plague is more dangerous because it is an airborne bacterium that is spread like the flu. The fact that these terrorists all died from Pneumonic Plague is therefore even more significant and terrifying. The fact that we know al-Qaida has within its ranks terrorists willing to infect themselves and die an agonizing death to cause the death of hundreds of thousands of infidel Westerners should cause even the liberals to reflect on their naïve handling of Gitmo. Gitmo held securely exactly the kind of Islamic fanatics that would volunteer for such a mission. Two hundred fifty of these suicidal maniacs for Allah are now about to be positioned for soon release. The new administration has just committed itself either to releasing or finding somewhere to house hundreds of terrorists even as U.S. forces continue to take new prisoners. What happens with all of them? Politically, this exposes the naiveté of the incoming administration. The policies that the new administration is now axing are the same ones that kept the nation safe from attacks on our shores since 2001. What if a newly released Gitmo detainee managed to successfully attack the U.S. again? One would think that the president's advisers might have thought all the implications through. But if they had, they wouldn't have recommended closing Gitmo first – without any workable plan to prevent the release of these unrepentant, self-confessed terrorists afterwards. These released terrorists will almost certainly lead the charge on future deadly attacks against Americans. In the light of this first executive order, I think it's going to be an interesting four years – assuming we survive it. Guantanamo Cushy Life Soon Over

At the United Nations, torture investigator, Manfred Nowak, warned that inmates eventually freed from Guantanamo should be allowed to sue the United States if they were mistreated. </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">"Justice also means to look into the past," said Nowak, an Austrian law professor. "Indeed the question now will be how it will be closed down and what it will mean for the detainees that are in there," he said. "It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's the one who proposed this national security force," Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. "I'm just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may — may not, I hope not — but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism." Broun cited a July speech by Obama that has circulated on the Internet in which the then-Democratic presidential candidate called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military. "That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did," Broun said. "When he's proposing to have a national security force that's answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he's showing me signs of being Marxist." Obama's comments about a national security force came during a speech in Colorado about building a new civil service corps. Among other things, he called for expanding the nation's foreign service and doubling the size of the Peace Corps "to renew our diplomacy." "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," Obama said in July. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." Broun said he also believes Obama likely will move to ban gun ownership if he does build a national police force. Obama has said he respects the Second Amendment right to bear arms and favors "common sense" gun laws. Gun rights advocates interpret that as meaning he'll at least enact curbs on ownership of assault weapons and concealed weapons. As an Illinois state lawmaker, Obama supported a ban on semi-automatic weapons and tighter restrictions on firearms generally. "We can't be lulled into complacency," Broun said. "You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I'm not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I'm saying is there is the potential." Obama's transition office did not respond immediately to Broun's remarks.

This is an America who sees itself on the defensive on a dozen fronts - on the verge of complete victory in Iraq, getting ready to whollop the Taliban in Afghanistan, with threats from a resurgent Mother Russia. Then this Coup d’état was pulled on this country and now the White House is being occupied. We have a Foreign Occupation Government at this point. How do you run against your own president? How do you run against your own party? That’s why this schmuck lost! There was no enthusiasim for him, that was destroyed when he ran against George W. Bush and lost in the 2000 primaries. I still have the tapes of when we were discussing that on The Right Perspective. McCain could have said, “you know, my president has made a lot of mistakes…” and he has! You can’t be enthusiastic about Bush because of a number of things; what he did with illegal immigration, the way he attacked the Republican base that fought him over the issue, the way Bush spent like a drunken sailor, and several other things. But McCain could have, instead of distancing himself from his own party, this idiot could have said, “look, this is my president, that’s the party I belong to, I’m going to stay loyal to him and these are the accomplishments that he had”. And McCain could have named all the Democrats that are truly responsible for the financial chaos that we are in. But instead, all we got was that stupid pathetic line, “he’s a Maverick”. What the hell is that crap?!?!?! Did he have anything of substance? “He’s reaching across the aisle”. Oh, he reached across the aisle alright - and they slapped him across the face! And if somebody’s going to run against their own party, and they’re going to “reach across the aisle” then why the hell do I have to vote for him? I’ll vote for the other guy! It sounded like both parties were in cahoots, so all you have now is a Mega-Party, a Mono-cracy, not a Democracy. And it was used to bring this Coup d’état and this Foreign Occupation Government into Washington. So why should have anyone voted for McCain? “He’s a Maverick“. What is he? No, he’s a selfish old bastard who did not want to campaign as a conservative, as a real Republican, but rather as a schmuck! He had Joe Lieberman. What is this? This was not an advertisement to vote for McCain, this was not an advertisement for choice. All he kept saying was change! You know, I told a guy who used to do the show with us, “Nobody remembers the guy who flew the Atlantic second”. And McCain was not original. He was the guy who flew the Atlantic second! Oh, we’re going to have change with John McCain - the guy was just parroting what the foreign occupier that sits in the White House said! McCain did not give Americans a choice. He’s a Maverick - that was corny, that was inept, that was maybe good for the night of the inauguration in his party. That’s all it was good for. So what we just saw was a brilliant Coup d’état and coupled with a shambles of a campaign. If I was him I would have come to the debate with my birth certificate and waved it front of him and said, “you know what, Junior Senator? I got a birth certificate. Where’s yours”? Odinga told Kenya's newspaper, The Nation, that he expected Obama's election to provide a windfall of U.S. trade, tourism and investment. "What we want to see is the expansion of relationships in terms of trade and direct investments," said Odinga. "We want to see more of our products finding markets in the U.S. and expect more direct investments by the Americans in the country." Odinga made it clear he played a small role in helping Obama win the White House – specifically by detaining Corsi and preventing him from holding a press conference in Kenya to disclose the findings of his investigation. In addition, Odina said he made a deliberate decision to minimize his relationship with Obama – even while previously claiming to be related to him. As WND (WorldNetDaily) had reported exclusively, Odinga is a Luo tribesman affiliated with Obama's father when Odinga's communist father was Kenya's first vice president after Kenyan independence and Obama's father was a Harvard-educated economist working in the Jomo Kenyatta government. Obama campaigned openly for Odinga for president in 2006 when Obama was in Kenya on a U.S. Senate "fact-finding" mission. Kenya's President Mwai Kibaki asked Obama to stop interfering with Kenyan presidential politics. Obama raised an alleged $1 million for Odinga to run for president in Kenya in December 2007, adding to the $1 million raised for Odinga's 2007 presidential campaign by Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi. When Odinga lost the December 2007 presidential election by approximately 233,000 votes, Odinga called for protests which led his Luo tribesmen to murder approximately 1,000 Kikuyu tribesman, displace another 350,000 Kikuyu tribesmen and destroy 800 churches, while not a single mosque was destroyed. Obama helped negotiate a settlement in which Odinga was appointed co-head-of-state and appointed prime minister to end the violence, even after it became publicly disclosed Odinga signed a letter of understanding with radical Muslims in Kenya in return for their votes. Odinga said he stayed away from the August Democratic National Convention, to which he was invited by Obama, for fear the association would hurt the Democratic presidential nominee. "That is why I did not go to the convention," Odinga said. "I felt if I went they would try to use my presence to mud-sling Mr Obama." WND also reported that Odinga signed a written agreement with Muslim leaders during his campaign, stipulating that if they delivered the Muslim vote, he would change the constitution to declare Islamic law as the ruling authority in Muslim-dominated regions, protect terrorists and muzzle Christian evangelism. According to a BBC report, Odinga says Obama's father was his maternal uncle. Barack Obama Sr., a Kenyan, married the Democratic presidential candidates' American mother while both were attending the University of Hawaii.
