Cape Town - The bodies of a man and wife were found in their Swellendam home on Thursday, Western Cape police said.
Inspector November Filander said police were called to the scene after the couple's gardener saw blood on the front door.
When police gained entry into the house from the back, they discovered the 63-year-old man dead on the lounge floor and his 58-year-old wife dead on the bedroom floor.
Police suspected that the killers used a blunt object to kill the couple.
It was unclear how the killers entered the house and if anything was taken.
