On the men's side, Men's Doubles World No. 1 Hendra Setiawan and Markis Kido of Indonesia defeated Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng of China 12-21, 21-11, 21-16 en route to the top of the podium.
MEN'S DOUBLE GOLD AND SILVER MEDALISTS:
Markis KIDO and Hendra SETIAWAN of Indonesia have won the gold medal in men's doubles at the Olympic badminton tournament, defeating China's Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng in three sets.
Top-seeded Kido and Setiawan recovered from a shaky start on their way to a 12-21, 21-11, 21-16 win Saturday over the second-seeded Chinese pair at Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium.
It was Indonesia's first gold medal of the games and second medal on Saturday at the badminton tournament. Maria Kristin Yulianti won the bronze medal in women's singles.
After Setiawan made a cross-court backhand just out of the reach of Cai to win the match, the Indonesians embraced before being tackled by their coach.

Chen Jin of China China's CHEN Jin has won the bronze medal in men's singles at the Olympic badminton tournament.
Chen defeated South Korea's Lee Hyun-il in three sets on Saturday.
The fourth-seeded Chen took advantage of a series of unforced errors by Lee on his way to a 21-16, 12-21, 21-14 win at Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium.
Leading 20-14 in the third game, Chen won with a powerful smash that caught Lee out of position.
Top-seeded Lin Dan of China will meet No. 2 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia in Sunday's final of men's singles.
It was China's seventh medal of the Olympic badminton tournament.
