Hijackers stripped a motorist naked and left him at the side of a road in Rietgat on Monday, said police.
Inspector Sello Mangena said the motorist was attacked by three hijackers while stationary at a stop sign on the Winterveldt road at 03:00.
Threatening him with firearms, the hijackers climbed into his car and ordered him to drive to Maubane, in Hammanskraal.
There, they forced him out of the vehicle and undressed him before driving off in his Volkswagen Fox, registration CDX545GP. His wallet, containing bank cards and R160 in cash, was in his trousers.
Mangena said the man stopped a passing motorist who took him to a police station where he was given clothes to wear.
