Three Kauai Juice waiters are to go on trial next month in the Bellville Specialised Commercial Crime Court on fraud and conspiracy charges.
The charges relate to the alleged use of credit card readers and encoding devices, for the manufacture of fake credit cards.
Andili Mafanya, 25, Mototo Mtwa, 31 and Zukile Matinse, 26, appeared in the dock before magistrate Amrith Chabilall on Monday.
Their three-day trial on charges of conspiracy to commit fraud, seven counts of fraud, seven of forgery and one of contravening the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, was scheduled to start on March 26.
Prosecutor Mary Naidoo alleges that Mafanya, Mtwa and Matinse were waiters at Kauai Juice - Mafanya and Mtwa at the Constantia outlet in the Cape Peninsula's southern suburbs, and Matinse at the Tygervalley branch in the northern suburbs.
