Episode Summary for Episode 1 - The Girl Who Overcame Time And The Boy Who Was Just Overcome. Written by Spider

It is 500 years ago. There is a fire in a village, and it is assumed to be under attack by a half-demon named Inuyasha. Inuyasha is fought by multiple villagers but it doesn't thwart him in the slightest, and he doesn't stop until he reached a magical-looking jewel called the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls or something like that.) He takes the jewel and almost escapes with it when the jewel's guardian, a priestess named Kikyou, shoots him with an enchanted arrow and pins him to a tree. Inuyasha is put into suspended animation or some sort of deep sleep. Unfortunately, Kikyou clearly is mortally wounded and in her last minutes, she asks her younger sister Kaede to burn the Shikon no Tama with her on her funeral pyre. Kaede fills out her sister's last wishes, and the jewel is thought to be lost.

Cut to present-day Tokyo. 15-year-old Kagome Higurashi is with her grandfather. He is telling her about the magic properties of different jewels (such as the Shikon no Tama), but Kagome is playing with her cat Buyo, and is clearly uninterested. She's with her family blah blah blah ok the next day.

The next morning Kagome is about to leave for school when her younger brother Sota stops her because he's worried about Buyo. Apparently Buyo went into a building with a well in it and hadn't come out yet. A little annoyed, Kagome went in to help Sota look for the cat. They hear some weird noises and get pretty frightened, but it turns out it was just Buyo. Kagome is pretty peeved now and was in the middle of yelling at Sota for scaring her over something so stupid when the covering on the well bursts open and many hands reach out and grab Kagome and pull her into the well.

As Kagome is falling in the well we see that some sort of centipede monster had dragged her in. The centipede keeps asking Kagome for the Shikon no Tama, but Kagome doesn't know what it's talking about. She tries to push away the monster and a light engulfs her hand and the monster can't touch her. Eventually, she finds herself on the floor of the well. Very scared, she climbs out only to discover that the well is surrounded by forest, and that her house as well as the rest of the shrine she lives at is not there. Desperate to find something familiar, she notices the family's sacred tree and runs quickly towards it. To her surprise there is a boy pinned to it with an arrow. But not only that, he has *dog* ears! Unable to contain herself, Kagome runs up to him and plays with his ears :). Suddenly, a group of angry villagers runs up to her and warns her to stay away from Inuyasha and not wake him! They tie Kagome up and take her to their village.

Kagome is realizing how ancient everything looks when Kaede walks up. She is now an elderly lady (50 years had passed since Kikyou's death) and she is very very well respected in the village. She questions Kagome until the villagers are convinced she isn't a spy. Suddenly, the centipede attacks the village looking for Kagome. Kagome sees a light coming from the forest and she runs as fast as she can to get there. Kaede knew there was something odd about Kagome at that point. Anyway, Kagome was running and running and etc. when she finally came upon Inuyasha, who is mysteriously awake, but he is still pinned to the tree. The villagers and the centipede monster also ended up by Inuyasha, who was referring to Kagome as Kikyou. Annoyed and confused, Kagome insisted that she was a different person until Inuyasha gave in.

Unfortunately, the villagers were doing a pretty poor job of containing Miss Centipede here, so she managed to slice Kagome, and to everyone's surprise the Shikon no Tama was cut out of her body!
The centipede swallowed the jewel, and everyone knew all was going to be lost if it absorbed it.

Inuyasha kept demanding that Kagome take the arrow that pinned him out, and Kaede and the villagers commanded her to NOT TOUCH THAT ARROW. The centipede had her long body wrapped around Kagome, Inuyasha and the tree he was pinned to and was slowly squeezing the life out of them. Out of options, Kagome grabbed the arrow that bound Inuyasha and released him!
Finally free, Inuyasha tore the centipede off and ripped the monster to shreds. Kaede told Kagome to find the Shikon jewel before the monster could re-assemble itself with the jewel's power. Kagome was able to see a light given off by the jewel and found it easily. She removed it from the centipede’s body and it died.

Kagome was preparing to give the Shikon no Tama to Kaede, but Inuyasha had other plans. He demanded the jewel and threatened to kill them all if they didn't comply.

Kagome was shocked to realize that she hadn't awakened a *good* guy!

Hee.... heee... thats so nice. I like if Inuyasha & Kagome have a romantic kiss.

Episode Summary for Episode 2 - The Seekers Of The Sacred Jewel. Written by Pegasus

There is a recap of what happened on the last ep. We then return to the forest, where the villagers surround Inu. Kaede tells Kagome to ignore Inu, and Kagome suddenly realizes that the jewel makes demons more powerful, therefore it must be cursed. Inu says that he hates waiting, and that he hates the smell of Kagome. He chases her, but she trips on one of the centipede’s bones and falls, just inches under Inu’s claws as he swipes at her. She can’t believe that he tried to hit her. The villagers shoot arrows at Inu, but he knocks them easily away. He then leaps up and slices at two trees, which fall and scatter the villagers. He lands on one of the tree stumps and yells down at the villagers that they can’t hurt him like he hurt the centipede.

One of the villagers tells Kaede that they might have had a better chance with the centipede (ha ha!). Kaede knew it might come to this, so she pulls a beaded necklace out of her kimono. Meanwhile, Inu attacks Kagome again, and she goes tumbling to the ground, dropping the jewel in the process. Inu rebounds off of a tree and goes for the jewel, but Kaede uses some sort of special magic to transport the necklace from her hand to around Inu’s neck. Inu lands on a rock in front of Kagome and looks at the beaded necklace, wondering what the heck it is. Kaede then tells Kagome to use the “word of subjugation”. Kagome’s like, “what word?”, and Kaede tells her that it doesn’t matter: her word has the power to hold Inu’s spirit. Kagome grabs the jewel and runs again, and she falls down an embankment When she lands at the bottom, the jewel rolls away from her onto a small wooden bridge. Inu leaps through the air toward the jewel, asking Kagome how she can overpower him when she can’t even sit up. Just when Inu is about to grab the jewel, Kagome suddenly sees his dog ears twitching and shouts the words “Sit boy!”. Oh yeah!

The necklace glows and Inu is suddenly pulled (face-first) down onto the bridge. Kagome yells “Sit boy” a few more times and Inu is held in place (face-first!). That was so good. Inu sits up and tries to pull the necklace off, but can’t. Kaede says “Sorry Inuyasha” (yeah right) but that he lacks the power to remove it. Inu says “We’ll see about that”, and tells Kaede that he’d finish her off if she didn’t look half-dead already (ha ha!). Kaede asks Kagome for the “word” again, and she gladly says “Sit boy”. This time, Inu falls so hard onto the bridge that the boards break and he falls through, tumbling down into the water below. Kagome wishes that she’d said those words earlier.

The villagers begin repairing the damage done by the demon centipede. Kaede is in a hut, dressing the wound in Kagome’s side. Kagome mentions what a pain it must be to have to rebuild the village. Kaede indicates that the pain is just beginning. Now that they are in possession of the Shikon no Tama again, many evil forces will be after it (demons and humans alike), as it can fulfill their “petty, grasping ambitions”. We then see that Inu is in the hut with them. Kagome asks him why he’s still there, and he replies that he’s waiting for the jewel. Kaede explains that with the necklace on, Inu is less of a threat, and that’s why they can allow him so close to the jewel.

Kagome asks Inu why he wants the jewel, because he seems tstrong enough on his own. Kaede says that he’s only a half-demon. Inu gets mad and punches a hole through the floor, saying he’s tired of hearing some woman he doesn’t even know talk like she knows him. Kaede reveals that she is Kikyo’s younger sister. Inu does remembers her, and calls her “the brat”. Kaede says that 50 years have passed. Inu says that if that’s true, then Kikyo must be about 100. He’s glad that he doesn’t have to worry about getting old (yet). Kaede then tells him that Kikyo didn’t either, because she died the day she shot him with the arrow. Inu sarcastically says that he’s sorry to hear it, and that he doesn’t care, because it’s one less thing for him to worry about. Kaede warns him not to let his guard down. She believes that Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo. Not just because she looks like her, but because the jewel of four souls was in her body. It is now up to Kagome to guard the jewel.

Kagome goes for a walk, and ponders her new destiny. Meanwhile, the villagers are talking about her, and about the rumour that she is the reincarnated Kikyo. Kagome sees them watching her, and feeling self-conscious, runs off. We then see Inu sitting up in a tree, thinking to himself that he never knew Kikyo had died. A fruit comes flying at him from behind, and without looking, he catches it. Kagome approaches on the ground, with a basket full of goodies. Inu asks where she got it, and she says the villagers gave it to her. She asks Inu to help her eat it.

As Kagome and Inu sit on a bank by the shore, Inu stares at her. He says that whatever she’s up to, he “ain’t buyin’ it”. She says that she knows Inu doesn’t like her, but she believes that it’s Kikyo he doesn’t like, not her. Inu retreats back into the tree, and Kagome says (once again) that she’s not Kikyo. She asks if they can call a truce, and Inu says “I knew it!” He says that he’s only after the jewel, and accuses her of trying to lead him into a false sense of security. She finds that funny, seeing as all she has to do is say the magic words to make him obey. When she says them, Inu is pulled out of the tree and falls head-first onto the ground. Oops! Kagome apologizes.

That night, while Kagome falls asleep, she thinks about her her family. She figures that she must get back home. Outside the village, black birds with three strange eyes in each of their heads are watching the village. Inu chases them away, saying that they’ve only come because they can smell the jewel. The next morning, Kagome leaves the village and makes her way into the forest. She is going to try to get home. Kaede is searching for Kagome in the village, but no one can find her. She worries that Kagome has gone off on her own, and that she didn’t warn Kagome enough about the potential danger. Inu overhears this.

We see that Kagome is being followed in the forest. She finds the well, but before she can get to it, she is attacked and captured by three men. They take her to their hideout, and it appears their leader had instructed them to find her. After some rude comments from the men, their leader (a huge bald guy) gets up and says he wants the jewel. Two of the men hold Kagome as the leader draws his sword (he’s going to kill her!). With his first swipe, he kills one of the men holding Kagome. Oops! He then starts swinging at everyone. The men wonder what he’s doing. They push Kagome forward, and she protests, saying that there’s something wrong with their leader (and couldn’t they tell?). She tells them that they’ll be next if they don’t get going. As they all scatter from their leader’s sword again, Kagome’s thinking “Here I am, in feudal Japan, playing duck-duck-goose with an eight-foot troll”. This is classic Inuyasha!

Meanwhile, Inu is looking for Kagome. He’s more concerned about the jewel than he is about Kagome (or so he says). Back at the hideout, the leader is destroying everything. Kagome helps an injured man, and starts wishing that she didn’t have the jewel. She flashes back to when Kaede said that not just demons, but men also would be seeking the jewel. The men hide behind Kagome (cowards!), and then Kagome remembers that the leader wants the jewel. She takes it off and throws it out of the building (through a small hole in the wall). She then orders the men to push the other wall out so they can escape. They try, but are unsuccessful. Kagome is surprised when they say “Sorry boss, no good.” (did they just call her “boss”?). The leader comes up behind Kagome and swings his sword at her. Inu barges through the wall and flies in front of her, taking the hit (without injury). Kagome is pleasantly surprised. Inu pummels the leader and he falls down. The other men then run like hades to get out.

Kagome can’t believe that Inu came, but he only asks her if the jewel is safe. She’s like, “jewel?”, and Inu is flabberghasted that she forgot about it. The leader then gets up and Inu smells something nasty. They see that there’s a hole where the man’s heart should be, and one of those weird crows is inside him! (it took out his heart and made a nest). Anyway, Inu punches his fist into the hole where the crow is. It flies out the back of the body, and the body disintegrates into bones. The crow flies out the window, and Kagome asks if Inu is going after it. He says that there are many monsters in the world and that he can’t chase them all. He asks Kagome where the jewel is and then looks outside to see the crow flying off with it! He chastizes Kagome, who then tells him to go after it.

Inu grabs Kagome’s hand and drags her along with him as he runs. He then stops suddenly, and looks to his left, where he sees a horse standing. There is a bow and arrows tied to the saddle. The next thing we know, Inu is flying through the air with Kagome on his back, and she’s carrying the bow and arrows. He tells Kagome to hurry up and shoot the crow, but she’s never used a bow in her life! He tells her that things’ll get worse if the crow swallows the jewel, and then we see the crow actually swallow the jewel. Kagome agrees that she’ll try. Inu then inwardly thinks that once the crow is dead, she’s next!

Inu indicates that Kikyo was a master archer, and that Kagome can take the crow in one shot. Kagome retorts that she is Kagome, not Kikyo, but she silently asks Kikyo for strength. Inu leaps up, and Kagome fires...... and misses! Inu lands flat on his face, and Kagome questions the fact that Kikyo was a master archer. Inu replies “She was. It’s you that’s the clutz!” (classic!)

They continue the chase, and the crow gets bigger. Kagome takes another shot, and misses again. Inu stops and Kagome falls off his back. Inu gets angry and says that no matter what Kaede says, Kagome is not Kikyo. He then takes off to catch the crow on his own. Meanwhile, the crow flies over the village and grabs a little boy. Inu has the crow in sight, and says (to himself) that the bird will have to go through him before it’ll have its next meal. Kagome yells at Inu not to do anything because he might hurt the little boy. He jumps up and claws the bird to pieces. The boy falls into the river. As Inu is too preoccupied with the jewel to help the little boy, Kagome has to dive in and save him. The villagers are awed by Kagome’s swimming ability. Inu yells at Kagome from the other side of the river to save the jewel. She ignores him (to his shock), and she is then thanked for saving the boy.

The bird reforms under the water and then flies up out of the river. Inu yells to Kagome that it’s getting away. Kagome sees that a part of the bird (its foot) is still attached to the little boy, and she gets an idea. She borrows a bow from a villager. Inu is doubtful that she will hit the crow, but when he sees what she’s doing, he understands. She ties the bird’s foot to an arrow, and fires it. Because the foot is part of the bird, it will be drawn by the jewel, and that will guide the arrow. The arrow hits, and the crow is destroyed, but the jewel shatters into tiny pieces! A bright flash explodes in the sky, and everyone watches as streams of light begin to shoot everywhere. Kaede does not like the look of it.

At dusk, Kagome and Inu are in the forest looking for the jewel (for where it fell). Kagome says she’s worried about that bright light they saw earlier. Suddenly, the head of the crow comes flying toward Kagome, but Inu steps in and slashes it away. Something falls to the ground. Kagome says “I hope that’s not what I think it....”. Inu asks what, and she kneels down to pick it up. It’s a piece of the jewel! Inu freaks out.

Episode Summary for Episode 3 - Down The Rabbit Hole And Back Again. Written by Pegasus
The ep opens with a voice over by Kagome, in which she complains that the people in the past Japan don’t know what a bath is. She is bathing in a cold water lake. On the shore, Kaede has a fire going and tells Kagome to come out before she gets sick. Kagome refuses, claiming that she is covered in blood and dirt, and her hair hasn’t been washed in a week. She dives under water. On the top of the embankment on the shore, Inu sits grumpily in a tree. Kagome flashes back on the last two eps,and believes that this is all too weird to be a mere dream.

[Flashback] In Kaede’s hut, Inu is ragging out Kagome for breaking the jewel. Kaede tells him to stop “barking” (very punny) and says that technically, it wasn’t Kagome that broke it, but rather the crow’s foot that was attached to the arrow. She says that no matter how many pieces the jewel broke into, all it would take is one in the wrong hands to cause severe trouble. Kagome apologizes, thinking that it’s all her fault. Kaede then says that only by working together will Kagome and Inu find all the pieces. Kagome’s like “huh?”, and Inu says that’s fine by him, because he’s one of the “wrong hands” that Kaede was talking about (Kaede says she knows). All Kagome wants to do is go back home. [end of flashback]

Kagome (still under water) wonders how she can get back home. She emerges from the water (naked) to find Inu staring at her from the top of the embankment. She freaks out and lowers herself back into the water, yelling “sit boy!” Inu is pulled down onto the shoreline (face-first). Kaede asks him if he is alright, and he says that he forgot about the necklace. Kagome (dressing behind some bushes) tells him it serves him right for being a peeping tom. He replies that the only reason he came was to... (Kaede interrupts and says that he only came to steal the jewel?). He turns his back on her and pouts. Kaede implies that he can’t get the shards alone. She reminds him that only Kagome can find the pieces of the jewel, but that once found, only he has the strength to take them back. Inu says “I’m still here, ain’t I”, and that he can put up with anything in order to get the jewel back.

Kagome emerges from the bushes and says that Inu really hates her, doesn’t he? When he looks up at her, he is struck silent. With the clothes she is wearing, she reminds him of Kikyo. Kaede asks Inu what’s wrong, but he says nothing.

Switch scenes, and we see the silhouette of a woman, in the midst of a red glow, who looks like she’s waking up. She says that after 50 years, the jewel has finally resurfaced, and that she’d almost given up hope. She picks up a skull (from somewhere) and uses a red comb to stroke some lond strands of hair still attached to it. She laughs evilly and we see that she is sitting on a bed of skulls (eww!)

Back at the shore, a woman from the village approaches and tells Kaede that something is wrong with her daughter. Kaede heads back to the village with her, and leaves Kagome and Inu alone, telling them not to fight. When Kaede is gone, Inu immediately tells Kagome to get undressed! She is flabberghasted, and hits him on the head with a rock (ow! poor Inu). She calls him a pig, but he retorts that he didn’t want her to get naked, he just couldn’t stand the sight of her in those clothes. She asks if it is because she reminds him of Kikyo, but he denies that idea. She inwardly thinks that even her little brother has more maturity than Inu.

She tells Inu that she doesn’t like this situation either, but that they have to work together. He implies that it’s only her who needs him, so she then says that he won’t care if she goes back home. She starts to walk away, and Inu’s ears twitch. He turns back around and asks her where she’s going, to which she replies that she’s going home. He says “You can’t just leave, you....”, to which Kagome responds that her name isn’t “you”, it’s Kagome. As she continues to walk away, he says “Wait stupid!”. She answers that her name is not “stupid” either. He tells her to just wait and hear him out. She stops, turns around, and asks why, thinking that he’s going to try and stop her, but all he really wants is the jewel shard she has. She holds up a tiny sack with a string attached to it, and says “Oh, this?” She then glares at Inu and says “Sit boy!”. Inu eats dirt once again! Kagome swings the sack around her finger as she continues walking and can’t believe Inu’s attitude, thinking that he never once called her by her given name.

Back in the village, Kaede and the woman enter the woman’s hut, where her daughter appears comatose. Kaede approaches, but stops when she hears a strange sound coming from all over the hut. She warns the mother to stay back, and the daughter suddenly flies up into the air, hanging like a rag doll. Kaede sees that there appears to be hair attached to the daughter. A butcher knife then flies up into the unconscious daughter’s hand and she attacks Kaede!

In the forest, Kagome reaches the well. She peers down into it and gasps when she sees bones. She remembers Kaede telling her that the well is called the bone-eater’s well, and is a resting place for the bodies of monsters. She figures that these bones must belong to “Mistress Centipede”. She drops her school clothes and sinks down onto the grass, saying that she can’t go in the well. She then looks up at the sun and wonders what to do. As she does so, she sees a glimmer reflect off of something that looks like a string, and when a leaf falls on it, it is ripped in two. Afraid, Kagome gets to her feet, but her face is cut by another thin strand. She looks up and sees what appears to be hair strung all around the forest. A woman appears in the air and notes that Kagome can see the “net” of hair. Kagome asks who she is, but the woman just laughs evilly.

Meanwhile, Inu is flying through the air, pretending he doesn’t care that Kagome has left. He thinks he’s better off without her. He reaches the village, and sees a bunch of women hanging in the air like rag dolls. He lands and makes a sarcastic comment (“Well, I guess I shouldn’t ask what you’re up to.”) That was classic Inuyasha again! The comatose women start raising weapons, and Inu prepares for a fight (he almost seems glad).

In the forest, the woman introduces herself to Kagome as Yura of the Hair (a demon), but says that Kagome needn’t remember the name, because she’ll be dead soon. Yura releases an attack of hair strands that whip at Kagome. Yura then uses a hair strand to take the sack containing the jewel from inside Kagome’s kimono. When Yura sees that only a piece of the jewel is in the sack, she chastizes Kagome for breaking it and asks where the rest is. Kagome says she doesn’t know. Yura grabs her sword and says that in that case, she’ll finish Kagome off. She zooms toward Kagome with the sword in hand! Kagome pushes herself backward and the sword swings just above her face. Yura has missed her target, but Kagome falls (screaming) into the well. Yura is disappointed, saying that it isn’t fair the girl escaped. She also mentions how strange Kagome is.

Meanwnile, Inu recognizes the women from the village, and asks if someone is going to tell him what’s going on (he’s ready for a fight at any rate). Inu hears his name and sees Kaede lying on the ground, crawling toward him. She says not to attack the women because it’s not their fault. He jumps over to her and asks what happened, mentioning that she looks awful (she has a wound in her left shoulder). He tells Kaede that “it’s either them or us, and I choose us”, but Kaede says that there’s someone else controlling the girls. She then realizes that Kagome is not with Inu. He tells her that Kagome said she was going home, and that he can handle this situation without her, so what’s the big deal? Kaede again tells Inu not to hurt the girls, but he replies that if she wants to see tomorrow, they have to do something. Kaede says that by controlling the strings that are suspending the girls, the girls can be controlled. One of the girls then attacks Inu. Kaede tells him to find the hair, but he can’t see it!

In the forest, Yura is sitting up in a tree, controlling the girls (the hair is attached to both her hands). She indicates that she’ll definitely want to add Inu to her collection. Kaede suddenly realizes that it is a trap. She warns Inu too late, and he is restrained by multiple hair strands. He says that whoever’s controlling the hair isn’t too smart, because even all tangled up, he can still pull out whoever’s on the other end (he then attempts to pull hard on the hair). Yura ends that way of thinking by flinging the hair, causing Inu to fall backward onto the ground. She then pulls him tight against a tree. Kaede can only look on helplessly as Yura tries to strangle Inu.

Using a powerful surge of strength, Inu is able to pull the hair away from him. The sharp hair cuts the tree in half, but Inu is freed. Yura expresses her disappointment as the hair goes slack in her hands. Meanwhile, Inu tells Kaede that he thought he was a goner, and Kaede says that he would have been, were he normal. Suddenly, some men from the village rise up into the air, and Inu says that he’s getting sick of this. Kaede tells Inu to forget about her and save himself. He tells her to quit the noble act, but then she collapses. He asks her if she is alright, but when she doesn’t respond, the always insensitive Inu says “Thanks a lot.”

In the forest, Yura is gathering up the hair from her struggle with Inu. She finds a strand of his silvery hair and remarks how pretty it is. We then see Inu flying through the air with Kaede on his back. He tells her to hang on. She sees strands of hair in their path and warns Inu about them, but he simply plows right through them. Yura is following them, using her hair to fly through the forest like Tarzan. She remarks that Inu is stubborn, but fun, and that she simply must have his hair.

At dusk, Inu and Kaede are resting in the forest. Inu asks that if Kaede can see the hair, can she tell him where it’s being pulled from? She replies that even if she can, she’s in no condition to help him, and that he must find Kagome. Inu asks her if Kagome can see the hair too. She says yes, and that Inu will need Kagome to help him. Kaede then closes her eyes and becomes motionless. Inu just stares at her.

Meanwhile, Kagome wakes up at the bottom of the well. She hears her grandfather’s voice above saying that they’ve been in there a thousand times, and Sota’s voice replies that this is where she fell in. A flashlight peeks over the top of the well, and Kagome is rescued by them. She can’t believe that she is home! Her grandfather tells her that she’s been missing for three days, and Sota asks her why she’d wearing those weird clothes. Inwardly, Kagome can’t believe that she’s not dreaming - she’s really home! She runs to her grandfather and cries in his arms, saying that she was so scared. He doesn’t know what to make of it.

Back in the past, Inu digs a hole for Kaede and starts to bury her. He says that, after all things considered, it’s the least he can do for her. She then speaks, and says that she’s resting, not dead! He replies that she can use it as a hiding place then. He says he’ll come back and get her, if he remembers! (insensitive Inu strikes again). Kaede asks him if he promises to remember, but he says nothing. He gets up and starts to walk away, and she asks again. He says okay, and that he heard her the first time, then takes off into the forest, heading for the well. He curses Kagome for leaving, right when he needs her.

Kagome is at home, enjoying a bath. Switch scenes back to Inu, running through the forest, and we see that a clump of hair is following him. It is controlled by Yura, who is telling the “little girl” to come out (she is talking about Kagome). Back in her bath, Kagome is stroking her hair, remarking about how good shampoo is. [End]

Episode Summary for Episode 4 - Yura Of The Demon Hair. Written by Shippy

Inuyasha gets angry and jumps through Kagome's well to her time. Strangely, he can pass through! Kagome, in her own time, is enjoying being back and her family don't know if they really can believe Kagome's wild story about her location for the past three days. Souta claims it's true, but they're not so sure. Kagome enjoys her dinner (Oden, of course) when all of a sudden, proof walks through the door.

Inuyasha appears and Kagome's Grandpa claims there was no way he could've gotten through the well since he sealed it with expensive seals from their shrine. Inuyasha waves one of the "crappy seals" around and Kagome's Grandpa is shocked. Inuyasha tries to drag Kagome back with him, but he's stopped by Kagome's mother who starts to mess with Inuyasha's ears asking if they're real or not. Souta's soon to follow asking for his turn.

After returning to the well, Inuyasha starts to go through when Kagome notices hair reaching through the well. Inuyasha can't see it, so she instructs him where to attack to cut the hair. Afterwards, Inuyasha gives Kagome his red overcoat to protect her weak skin from the razor sharp hairs. He explains that his coat is made from fire-rat’s fur and is stronger than some armors.

Back in Inuyasha's world, they stop by a deserted campsite where all the men have had their heads decapitated. Kagome picks up a bow and arrow from the campsite and they continue onwards. Yura appears and captures Inuyasha with her hairs telling him that he's the "servant of the reincarnated priestess". Inuyasha of course tells her that she's got it wrong, but it doesn't matter; Yura's after Inuyasha's lovely silver hair. (Who wouldn't want it?!?!??!?)

Yura then comments on how his hair's all roughed up and how she'll take care of it. She attacks Inuyasha with her sword and slices through his chest while Kagome fumbles around on the ground and finally manages to launch an arrow at Yura. Her arrow doesn't fall true to its course and nearly hits Inuyasha! Inuyasha gets pissed and tells her to watch where she's aiming. The arrow, while it misses Yura, hits Yura's huge ball of hair (where Yura hides and lives I guess) and starts to purify it and rips through it causing a million skulls to fall out from it. Yura's angry that Kagome would ruin her home like that and sends out fire in Kagome's direction covering her in flames. She then mocks Inuyasha on how she's going to die in the flames and there's nothing he can do about it.

Inuyasha gets angry and for the first time uses his blood to attack her (blades of blood) from the wound in his chest. The attack cuts of Yura's hand where she was holding the sword, but it doesn't appear that she's in any pain! Inuyasha attacks again, but Yura gets smart and uses her skulls to protect her. She uses hair to manipulate her fallen arm and causes it to stab through Inuyasha's back. The hair returns her arm to her and it fixes itself back on to her.

Yura mocks Inuyasha some more and is just about to cut his head off when Inuyasha gets angry and then sticks his fist through her chest taking the Shikon shard from her as he does so. He thinks he's won, but that's not the case! Yura again feels no pain and takes the shard back from him. Yura suddenly notices something: Kagome's still alive and climbing through the masses of hair lying on the ground towards one of the skulls. Inuyasha's fire rat shirt protected her!

Inuyasha cuts her again, but the hair quickly restores her body and it grabs Inuyasha again holding him hostage again. Yura then attacks Kagome with her sword, but it repels off of her. Yura asks her what kind of a human she is to not be cut, but Kagome realizes that it's the power of Inuyasha' clothes that are protecting her as they act as armor. Yura's not amused for long though and then uses her thread to cover Kagome's throat to cut her head off. Inuyasha uses his blades of blood technique again and seriously cuts Yura. Her hair trap falls and Kagome is freed. Inuyasha carries her to safety, but not in time as Yura's sword hits Inuyasha in the chest again and cuts through his chest. Yura tells him she's immortal and he can't kill her.

She sends out her sword again to finish Inuyasha off, but suddenly stops. Kagome is hacking away with an arrow at this one strange red skull and Kagome tells Inuyasha that this skull is the source of Yura's power and her hair. Yura attacks Kagome, but it's too late! Kagome smashes through the skull and hits the hidden comb inside of it. The comb is where Yura's soul was sealed and that's why her body didn't feel pain. The comb's destroyed along with Yura and Inuyasha says it's not uncommon for an inanimate object to turn into a youkai at this day and age in Japan.

Kagome then goes to where Yura's clothes lye and picks up the shard she stole from them. Kagome wonders how long it'll be till they collect all the shards and then Inuyasha says for the first time, "Let's go, Kagome". Kagome's shocked since it's the first time Inuyasha used her name to address her. Kagome's happy and tells him that perhaps he's trying to warm up to her. Inuyasha snubs her off and then Kagome pats him on the back telling him that he should warm up to her. Turns out Inuyasha's in so much pain, but he was hiding it, so he falls over in pain humorously. Kagome then tells him she's so sorry and that he should've told her he was in pain. Inuyasha tells her to shut up.

The dream of Inuyasha and Kagome is become a blissful couple.

Episode Summary for Episode 5 - Aristocratic Assasin, Sesshomaru. Written by Shippy
In this episode we introduce the very beautiful guy, Fluffy.. Errr, Sesshoumaru (You just have to crack on this guy sometimes) and his ugly little toad follower, Jakken. Sesshoumaru is searching for his father's grave and is using the Staff of Heads that Jakken carries (With a woman on one side and a man on the other) to try and locate the location of the sealed grave. If the woman head screams, the grave is not where they stand, but if the man laughs, the grave has been found.

Sesshoumaru attacks wolves at this one grave, but the woman screams, so they leave and find an army of warriors celebrating a victory. Sesshoumaru appears and calmly asks for boats, but the general guy laughs and refuses to give anything to Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru then attacks the general and easily kills him. The rest of the army start to attack, but Jakken steps in and uses his staff to burn all the men to death. Sesshoumaru takes a boat, but then Jakken notices that the staff of heads starts to point in another direction towards the grave. Jakken wonders why the location of the grave keeps changing…

Jakken later suggests to Sesshoumaru that he might want to go and find Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru hits Jakken and tells him “Inuyasha” is a name he doesn't want to remember. He then says that Inuyasha's dead anyway, so what's the point? Jakken tells him that he heard rumors that Inuyasha was reawakened after his fifty year slumber.

Back at the well, Kagome comes through pulling her bike with her. How she got it up in the first place is beyond me. Riding along the road, she accidentally runs over a small flea in the road. (We later find out his name is Myouga and he used to be a servant to Inuyasha's father and now is a servant to Inuyasha in turn). Anyway, Kagome reaches Inuyasha and tells him she wants to tend to his wounds he got from Yura. Inuyasha's up in a tree and refuses to get down, so Kagome "Sits" him out of the tree and then Inuyasha tells her to leave him alone, so Kagome gets on him and starts trying to yank his clothes off. At the same time, Kaede is arriving with a group of small children to see both Kagome and Inuyasha lying on each other while Kagome tries to rip his clothes off. Great sight for children.

Inuyasha kicks her off and shows her his chest and how it's already fully healed over. All of a sudden, Inuyasha notices something sucking blood on his chest and smashes the chubby Myouga (Myouga means flea). Kagome takes out a can of bug spray and sprays Myouga with it. XD

Later we learn that Myouga is the guardian of Inuyasha's father's grave. Turns out even Myouga doesn't know the location of the grave. (Go figure) Kaede then talks a bit about Inuyasha's father who was a powerful and great demon and then once Kagome asks about Inuyasha's mother, Myouga tells her how beautiful she was, but Inuyasha then smashes Myouga to shut him up. Kagome wonders if Inuyasha hates his mother or something.

Inuyasha leaves the hut and sits in a tree as usual and Kagome comes out to find him. Kagome figures that since Inuyasha's half demon, his other half must be half human. Kagome figures Inuyasha hates his mother because she was a human and since Inuyasha hates being a human, he would in turn hate her as well.

Out of nowhere, a carriage in the sky appears and Inuyasha pushes Kagome down to hide her telling her something's coming. The carriage arrives and surprise, it's a very beautiful woman looking out of it tied with chains and held captive. Inuyasha reacts and simply says "Mother…". The woman cries out for Inuyasha and then Sesshoumaru and Jakken appear riding on this other huge youkai that starts to crush his mother. Jakken tries to fry him with the fire from the staff, but Sesshoumaru stops him saying he wants to talk first.

Sesshoumaru then introduces himself as Inuyasha's older brother. (Wow, who would've thought Inuyasha had such a beautiful brother XD XD XD) Sesshoumaru taunts Inuyasha for being half human (Kagome's thoughts are confirmed) and then Sesshoumaru asks Inuyasha where their father's grave is, but Inuyasha tells him he has no idea. Inuyasha also doesn't believe that the woman who is his mother is real. Sesshoumaru tells him that he brought her back from the dead and gave her a new body. Inuyasha freaks out suddenly worried that the woman COULD be his mother and then attacks her saving her from the monster that was strangling her.

Kagome runs to check on Inuyasha's mother, but Sesshoumaru gets the monster to attack Inuyasha, but before Inuyasha can get hurt, Inuyasha's mother uses some sort of magic to transport them to safety. When Inuyasha wakes up, he's in a field of flowers with his mother and Kagome is asleep nearby. Inuyasha's mother tells Inuyasha that they are in the border between the living and spirit world and that she'll return to the world of the dead now. Inuyasha follows her for a ways and she tells him that he has grown a lot and then she says that she's sorry he had to have such a horrible life.

Kagome then wakes up and realizes she can't move. She then realizes that the woman has no reflection on the pond's surface. She tries to cry out, but her voice no longer works. It's an illusion, but there's nothing she can do about it.

Lets think the future, before the future became reality. That picture very beutiful and give inspiration to be best.

Episode Summary for Episode 6 - Tetsusaiga, The Phantom Sword. Written by Shippy

Kagome's time. Kagome's mother is trying to fix her own bike to fit Kagome's size since Kagome took her bike with her to the Sengoku Jidai era. Shows she really cares for her daughter. Her mother tells Souta to help her sister in any way possible and Souta agrees.

Back in the illusion world. Inuyasha's mother's face casts no reflection back on the surface of the pond and she's a fake, but Inuyasha can't see or hear her. Inuyasha's "Mom" places a lily on the surface of the water and tells Inuyasha to look into it and he's surprised to see his child self playing with a ball. The ball bounces over a bridge and he rushes to get it. His mother stands by watching him play, her face is shadowed. Inuyasha drops the ball and runs to her and she embraces him warmly. Inuyasha comments on how this was what he looked like when he was a child. His mother then hugs him like she did when he was a child and Inuyasha starts to go into a daze while his mother starts to absorb him by putting her hands into his back.

Kagome then sees the illusion. She can't move because she's held by chains and they're really not at a beautiful pond, but still where they were to start out with. Myouga appears and realizes Kagome is paralyzed and so he sucks out blood from her neck returning her to her senses out of the illusion she's stuck in. Kagome breaks free of the chains. Jakken goes to the woman who's nearly completely absorbed Inuyasha and calls her "Nothing Woman" and asks if she did what he told her to. She says not yet and Jakken asks her to probe into his soul further to find out the location of his father's grave. Inuyasha says it's starting to hurt him and he doesn't know where the grave is. Suddenly, a black pearl appears and Inuyasha mutters… "Right black pearl". The nothing woman doesn't want to probe further because it will break Inuyasha's soul, but Jakken insists on it. Inuyasha, in his dream world, starts to wake from his daze and Kagome appears, smacks Jakken around and then grabs Inuyasha before he's totally absorbed by the Nothing Woman.

Kagome can't catch her since she moves very fast and is still hanging onto Inuyasha and Myouga tells her that the Nothing Woman is made of souls of dead mothers who lost their children during the warm. The Nothing Woman feels love for her children, and love for Inuyasha. In the water's reflection, Kagome sees the illusion of the woman holding a baby Inuyasha and she messes up the water and Inuyasha returns to his senses. He's angry at the betrayal of the Nothing Woman and more so at his older brother, Sesshoumaru.

Sesshoumaru appears, grabs Inuyasha and tells him he solved the riddle to where the grave is. "The right black pearl". He then uses some sort of weird magic and extracts a black pearl from Inuyasha's right eye temporarily leaving Inuyasha half blind. He then attacks Inuyasha with his whip things and right before it hits Inuyasha, the Nothing Woman jumps in front of him protecting Inuyasha from the blow, but being destroyed in the process. The nature of the Nothing Woman is to protect her child and Inuyasha was her child. Using the Staff of Heads from Jakken, Sesshoumaru hits the pearl and it opens a gateway to the grave of Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha's father. Inuyasha sits back in shock and suddenly realizes that Kagome has already started to climb through the portal. He yells for her to wait and jumps in to catch up.

Through the portal they are transported to somewhere far away in a mass of bones and in the middle are the huge bones of Inuyasha's dog demon father, the Tai Inu-youkai. The bones are so huge that they're about the size of a mansion and they ride a bone bird inside of the bones of Inuyasha's father. It's here that they learn what Sesshoumaru was after… the legendary sword, Tetsusaiga (it's said "Tess-sigh-ga), made from one of the fangs of Inuyasha's father.

Sesshoumaru attempts to pull the sword from the pedestal, but it repels him and burns his hand with a ward. Sesshoumuaru wonders why he cannot touch it and then Inuyasha appears. Kagome tells him to whoop Sesshoumaru's butt and take the sword, but Inuyasha's more interested in just beating his brother silly instead of even taking notice to the rusty old katana in the pedestal. He attacks, but it's useless since Sesshoumaru is many times faster and stronger, so Inuyasha approaches the sword and Kagome tells him that by taking the sword, he can make his brother jealous. Inuyasha likes that idea so he reaches for the sword and he's not hurt by the barrier at all. Inuyasha tries to pull the sword, but nothing happens. He can't pull the sword out! There must be some mistake! Sesshoumaru races to attack Inuyasha since Inuyasha's obviously not gonna make the task of taking the blade any easier and they duke it out again.

After Kagome kicks Jakken's butt for being annoying, she then races to try to save Inuyasha since he's getting really beat up. Before she can, she reaches the sword and holds on to the hilt to help her stand up. In her haste, she accidentally raises the sword and it comes free of the pedestal! Wow. Anyway, Sesshoumaru stops his attack and turns back in awe at the human girl who pulled the sword. Kagome simply just says, "Sorry... it slipped!" What does this mean? Is Kagome special or something? Will Jakken ever shut his fugly mouth? All will be revealed in the next episode. (Except the part about Jakken shutting up. He sadly never does that the whole freaking series)

Inuyasha with his Sword.

InuYasha Episode 006

Episode Summary for Episode 7 - Showdown! Inuyasha vs Sesshomaru. Written by Blain

This episode starts off by recapping what happened in the previous episode. Sesshoumaru takes Inuyasha’s black pearl out of his right eye, gets to their father’s grave and tries to take the Tetsusaiga. He can’t pull it from the ground due to a ward against him, but Inuyasha can pass through the ward, but even Inuyasha can’t pull the sword from the ground. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha start to fight and try to kill one another and Kagome rushes to the sword and manages to pull it from the ground. Anyway, on with the episode.

Sesshoumaru stops fighting with Inuyasha and confronts Kagome asking her how she was able to take the Tetsusaiga out of the ground. Inuyasha begs his brother to leave Kagome alone and that she’s just a normal Human, but Sesshoumaru disagrees. Inuyasha tells Kagome to hand over the sword to his brother, but Kagome tells him that it’s Inuyasha’s sword and she won’t give it up.

Sesshoumaru ponders this and then asks why Inuyasha loves Humans and cares for them so much. He then says it was because of Inuyasha’s mother that their father ended up the way he is now (Dead, obviously) He says there’s bad blood running through Inuyasha and then turns to Kagome and sprays here with poison from his hand. She calls out to him, but disappears under the mess still holding the Tetsusaiga. Inuyasha screams for her, but it looks like it’s already too late.

Inuyasha attacks Sesshoumaru, but Sesshoumaru easily catches him with his tail and sends him flying into the walls telling him that he’s so weak that he can’t even lay a finger on him. He then starts to whip Inuyasha and tells him how weak ‘hanyou’ are and how worthless they are. Inuyasha then has a flashback of when he was a child how everyone used to shun him for being a hanyou. Child Inuyasha was playing with a ball and they kept kicking/throwing it away from him. How sad… He looks like he’s about 4 or 5... Anyway, he runs to his mother holding a ball and asks her “What is a hanyou?” His mother just starts to cry and hug him and Inuyasha reflects on how he finally understands why his mother was so sad because she worried about Inuyasha’s future.

Inuyasha becomes angry and his strength and power increase. He attacks his brother telling him he can’t forgive him and actually manages to crack his armor. Jakken is amazed (stupid frog thing) and so is Sesshoumaru.

Suddenly Kagome pops out of the acid as if she weren’t even hit in the first place saying that she thought she was going to die. Inuyasha’s stunned and Sesshoumaru explains that it was the sword’s warding that protected her. Kagome gets daring and yells at Sessoumaru telling him that he’ll pay for what he did. She then comically hands the sword to Inuyasha and wishes him good luck with a smile.

Sessoumaru then starts to glow and transforms into his true form, a huge dog demon! (Red eyes and all, freaky O.o) Inuyasha believes in the sword’s power and attacks just to have it bounce off of Sesshoumaru causing no damage what so ever. Inuyasha’s surprised and narrowly dodges more of Sesshoumaru’s attacks. Inuyasha asks Myouga what’s up, but the flea has already packed and just tells him that it’s his father’s heirloom and to not let it go before leaving Inuyasha to fight alone. ^_^*

Sesshoumaru then releases a poison from his mouth (dog breath basically) and it starts to fill the room. Inuyasha tells her to climb to higher ground and Kagome listens and starts to climb up. Jakken and Myouga are all trying to get to higher ground too. Inuyasha comments that even he won’t be able to hold out for long and jumps to higher ground as he’s starting to get paralyzed. Sesshoumaru bites Inuyasha between his teeth and starts to crush him before Inuyasha takes the Tetsusaiga and shoves it into Sesshoumaru’s eye causing him to push through the roof back outside and let Inuyasha go.

Inuyasha manages to scramble to safety and Myouga reappears asking how the fight went and that he should deliver the final blow with the Tetsusaiga’s ‘powers’. Inuyasha tells him he’s an idiot and that the sword is doing little to nothing. Myouga takes off seconds afterwards running in fear again. Kagome becomes Inuyasha’s cheerleader sort of and tells him that his attacks are helping. Inuyasha tells her that they’re doing nothing and she just tells him to try harder. Inuyasha says he can survive, but Kagome will probably die from this attack. Kagome looks sad and starts to cry and Inuyasha goes nuts trying to get her to stop. He tells her that he’ll protect her and she doesn’t need to worry. Kagome doesn’t believe what she just heard. Inuyasha… not a prick?! No way!

Suddenly, the Tetsusaiga starts to vibrate. It has a heartbeat! Kagome starts throwing skull heads at Jakken who’s trying to tell Sesshoumaru to kill Inuyasha. Inuyasha’s sword magically transforms now from the old rusted katana to a very long fang-like sword and slices easily through Sesshoumaru’s front leg. He then takes a few more whacks at Sesshoumaru before Sesshmaru de-transforms and leaves (leaving Jakken behind, heeheeheheehe) Inuyasha thanks his father for the sword he left for him and Myouga returns saying he believed in his power all along.

Inuyasha just gives him this oddly… sweet smile. (Yes, it was freaky to watch. You never see Inuyasha smile like this again in the series.) Myouga says he was just busy securing a way back out of the portal (He has some sort of ugly bone bird with him) and Inuyasha believes him… well for a second. Myouga then bows and explains that he was lying and that he feels so bad lying to someone who trusts him. Turns out he DID run away! Inuyasha gets pissed and smashes him.

They return through the portal and the black pearl returns itself back into Inuyasha’s eye. (Which didn’t happen in the manga. O_o weirdness) Back at Kaede’s village, they marvel at how she was able to pull the sword from the ground when no one else could. Myouga and Kaede decide that she just has more powers than the first thought. Myouga then explains that the sword was built for Inuyasha to protect Inuyasha’s mother and the sword can only transform if you want to save a Human’s life or care for Humans which is why Sesshoumaru can’t use the sword and Inuyasha could after he promised to protect Kagome. (Which also means he was sincere about protecting Kagome… awwww!)

Outside Inuyasha is swinging the de-transformed “piece of crap” as he calls it around trying to get it to return to its fang shape. Kagome then arrives and asks him if he wants her to teach him how to use the sword in exchange for him protecting her. Inuyasha just comically asks her if she’s sick in the head or something and Kagome gets pissed telling him that he promised to protect her for her whole life. Inuyasha said he never said “forever” and they have a short fight over that. Inuyasha says he’ll use the sword to help him find the shards and become a youkai. Kagome gets pissed and pushes Inuyasha on a small bridge before walking away and muttering, “sit” sending Inuyasha crashing through the bridge to the waters below. Inuyasha begs her to return and teach him how to use the sword, but she’s already gone thinking what a big jerk he is.

Episode Summary for Episode 9 - Shippo And The Thunder Brothers. Written by Pegasus

The ep starts out with Inu, Kagome and Myouga sitting in a field (which Kagome learns is an old battlefield, as there are bones everywhere), and Kagome has just made a meal. Inu seems to be enjoying the food, and Kagome is telling him and Myouga about the future, and what kinds of things they have in the future. Inu and Myouga have a hard time understanding such futuristic things, but hey, they're just living in the past!

The sky darkens and Shippo appears as a big pink ballon-looking thing. He then transforms into his little half-human, half-fox form. He says that he wants the Shikon shards, and creates a small statue using a spell, which he then drops to the ground near Inu and Kagome (to distract them). When they turn around, Shippo is rummaging through Kagome's packsack to find the shards. He takes them, but is stopped by Inu, who hits him on the head (poor little guy!). Kagome looks after his head "wound", and she learns that Shippo needs the shards because he wants to avenge his father. Two demon spirits known as the Thunder Brothers, Hiten and Manten, killed his father. Shippo creates another statue spell, which drops down and pins Inu's hands to the ground so that he can't move. The statue will only disappear when the spell scroll is peeled off of it.

Shippo runs with the shard and is chased by Kagome, with her bow and arrows in tow. Enter Manten, who is an ugly looking monster, and he tries to attack Shippo. Kagome shoots an arrow through Manten's nose (which stays there), and Manten then captures Kagome. Shippo escapes and, feeling bad that Kagome was kidnapped, goes back to enlist Inu's help. He tells Inu that he'll release the statue if Inu agrees not to hit him anymore. Inu agrees, and Shippo releases him (Inu goes back on his word and pummels poor Shippo). Inu then learns that Kagome has been captured, so he and Shippo go off to save her.

Kagome awakes to find Manten making a "brew". He is going to use Kagome to make a hair potion that will bring back his hair (he only has a few strands left). Hiten (the older Thunder Brother) enters with a woman on his arm. He asks Manten what he's doing with the girl (Kagome) and Manten tells him. Hiten gets mad and ends up killing the woman he brought with a blast of energy. He predicts the same fate for Kagome. Trying to think fast to save herself, Kagome asks if the brothers have heard of Inuyasha, and proceeds to tell them that they won't get any shards if they kill her. Why? Because Inu is in love with her and will tear them apart if they hurt her. They believe her and go to find Inu to retrieve the shards.

When the brothers find Inu, Inu is flabberghasted that Kagome told them she was his lover. In a really funny part, Kagome and Inu argue back and forth for a few minutes (Kagome is yelling down at him from her captive position on a cloud with Manten, while Inu is yelling up at her from the ground). Inu gets really mad, it's great! Hiten says that whatever the case, he is going to attack Inu. Inu draws Tetsusaiga and prepares for battle.

They were relatives. But they always disputed to prove whoever was strongest around them.

InuYasha Episode 009

Episode Summary for Episode 10(part 1) - Phantom Showdown!. Written by Pegasus

The ep opens with a dream sequence in which Manten (with a full head of hair) is surrounded by women. He thinks he is popular now because of his hair, like his brother Hiten. Suddenly, his hair starts falling out, and the women run in terror. He remembers that since puberty, his dreams have all ended the same (without hair). He believes that, if he had some hair, he would be able to get some women. Maybe not as many as his brother Hiten, but at least some for himself.

We get a flashback to when Hiten and Manten went on a rampage and killed hundreds of men in battle with their terrible powers. We then see a few flashbacks from the last ep, when Kagome shot Manten through the nose, and when Hiten finally started to attack Inu (Inu repelled the first blow, and that’s when Hiten knew that he was in for a good fight).

After some verbal banter between Hiten and Inu, Hiten attacks. Hiten is pretty confident, and Inu knows that he’ll be a goner with one touch of Hiten’s lightening. They continue to spar. Shippo tries to think of a way to save Kagome while Inu keeps Hiten busy. Meanwhile, Kagome is worried about Inu. Manten is cheering Hiten on, and when it looks like Manten is going to help Hiten out a bit, Kagome says that two against one isn’t fair, and pushes Manten off the cloud. Manten hits the ground, but the cloud then disappears and Kagome falls down too. Shippo and Inu are worried about Kagome’s fall, but Hiten stops Inu from helping her, saying that Inu shouldn’t put a woman before a battle. Inu promises Kagome that he’ll help her as soon as he’s done with Hiten, but Kagome yells something to him about gravity, then falls on top of Manten (he breaks her fall).

Manten then wakes up and chases after Kagome, who trips and falls. Shippo saves her by using some fox magic - Poof! A top appears on Manten’s head, then seems to grow and pins Manten to the ground. Kagome runs over to Shippo, congratulating him on his nice move, but Myouga points out that Shippo’s magic is just an illusion. They watch as the top shrinks again and Manten gets up. When he realizes that all of his hair has now fallen out, he is enraged, unleashing a powerful beam of fire from his mouth which starts destroying the land around them. He promises to hunt down Kagome and Shippo, using her for a hair potion and him for a new “belt”.

Kagome gets an idea, and asks Shippo for help. Shippo shapeshifts himself to look like Kagome, and when Manten grabs him, he uses his hair to hold Manten while Kagome approaches and pulls out the arrow from Manten’s nose (the one she put there in the last ep). She uses the arrow to aim for the shards in Manten’s forehead, but Manten blocks her strike and knocks her down, then kicks Shippo away. He then reaches down and starts to choke Kagome!

Kagome calls for Inu, and when Inu is momentarily distracted, Hiten stabs Inu with the lightening staff. Inu falls back and drops the Tetsusaiga. Now Hiten has him where he wants him. He ridicules Inu for his compassion, then ponders whether to kill Inu first, or Kagome. Meanwhile, Inu tells himself inwardly that he has to save Kagome first and take care of Hiten later (hmm, interesting). Hiten asks Manten if they should hurry this up or prolong it, and Manten replies that he’s enjoying himself. Shippo tries to help Kagome, but is knocked away again by Manten. Shippo is angered when Manten taunts him using his father’s fox fur around his waist.

Hiten praises Manten for his villainous nature, but Shippo attacks Manten again, biting him. He won’t let go, and Manten starts hitting him to get him off. Inu tells Hiten that he himself has done evil things in the past, but that he’s “innocent” compared to the two brothers. He throws some blades of blood at Hiten, then runs over and grabs the Tetsusaiga. He then leaps into the air and thows the Tetsusaiga toward Hiten. It misses, and Hiten ridicules Inu; that is, until he realizes that Inu’s true target was Manten! Manten is impaled and falls to the ground, releasing Kagome.

Kagome picks up Shippo and grabs for the Tetsusaiga. In a sudden panic for his brother, Hiten flies over toward Kagome and Shippo, and Inu tells them to get out of the way before Hiten kills them. Hiten throws lightening at them and they are knocked down into a large crater. Hiten then kneels beside Manten and a brotherly moment ensues where Manten tells Hiten that his hair is gone and with it, his chance for happiness. We get a flashback to a picture of the brothers’ father, and their monster mother. Manten explains that Hiten got all the good looks (and hair) from their father and he got all the reptilian monster looks from their mother. Hiten expresses that beuty is on the inside (what is this?) and that he loves his brother just the way his is (anyone for a kleenex?). Manten then says something silly about being reborn as a caterpillar with lots of hair (I had to laugh at that one!), then he changes his mind and says he’d be born bald again as long as he could be Hiten’s brother (okay it’s getting corny at this point). Manten then dies.

Meanwhile, Inu runs over to Kagome to see if she’s alright. She is, but she dropped the Tetsusaiga when the ligtening hit. She apologizes for messing up, and the always insensitive Inu agrees that she messed up (how rude!). But he tells her that sword or no sword, he’s still going to beat Hiten. Hiten cries for his lost brother, then proceeds to bite the shards out of Manten’s head, in order to gain his power .

This is the picture of Inuyasha Group.

Episode Summary for Episode 10(part 2)Phantom Showdown!. Written by Pegasus

Myouga appears and tells Inu that he must be careful now, because Hiten has five jewel shards. Inu and Kagome sarcastically batter Myouga for his noticeable absence during the fighting. A blast of lightening then shoots toward them and Inu pulls Kagome and Shippo to safety. Seeking revenge for his brother, Hiten is ready to fight and is now very powerful. Inu tells Kagome to take Shippo and get away. She doesn’t want to leave him, but finally agrees. A huge ball of lightening then zooms toward Inu. He knows that he can’t avoid it, and Myouga suddenly tells him to use the sheath of Tetsusaiga to stave off the lightening. Huh? Inu does so and with great effort, repels the power ball. Inu can’t believe that it worked, and Myouga explains that the sheath, because it holds the Tetsusaiga, therefore has strong powers of its own. At least, that was Myouga’s theory (Inu is angry that he faced a lightening ball uisng only a hunch as his defence). Inu then declares that he’s going to use the sheath to beat Hiten. He leaps upward and makes it through another one of Hten’s lightening balls, however Hiten has doubled back and stabs Inu from behind, knocking him to the ground.

Shippo wakes up and Kagome asks him if he is okay. When Shippo asks what’s going on, Kagome tells him. Meanwhile, Hiten continues his assault against Inu, and Kagome is worried that Inu is getting tired. Shippo points out that Hiten has the advantage because of the flame wheels under his feet which help him fly. While Inu beats a retreat, Kagome prepares her arrow (and Shippo transforms himself into a bow for her to use). Hiten gets in another good hit and Inu falls to the ground again. Kagome looses her arrow and it takes out one of Hiten’s flame wheels, just before he strikes Inu. While Hiten is distracted by the loss of his flame wheel, Inu grabs hold of Hiten’s thunder pike (staff) and the lightening surrounds him. Myouga wonders what Inu is doing, especially when Inu tosses the sheath away, claiming not to need it! Huh? Inu bears the lightening surrounding him and proceeds to sucker punch Hiten right in the jaw! Cool! Hiten goes flying backward and hits some rocks, while the others cheer Inu on.

Madder than ever, Hiten renews his attack on Inu. Inu dives for the sheath and uses it to defend himself again. Under the power of Hiten’s lightening bolts, the sheath starts to crack! Uh oh. Not good. Myouga knows that Inu is powerful, but if the sheath breaks...game over. Kagome says that she has to get the Tetsusaiga back to Inu, and Shippo agrees. He runs out to get the sword before Kagome can stop him, so she runs out after him, dragging the fox fur along with her. Hiten sees them running, and Inu realizes that Hiten has absorbed Manten’s fireblowing ability. Inu yells a warning to Kagome, but it’s too late! Hiten blasts Kagome and Shippo with the fireblast, and they are lost in flames. Inu yells for Kagome, and then he sees her and Shippo lying in the middle of the flames, not moving.

Hiten gloats over killing them, and Inu gets really angry now. He retaliates against Hiten for killing his friends, and Hiten can’t understand why a half breed like Inu is so strong. He taunts Inu by saying that Inu shouldn’t be fighting because of a woman, and that avenging a brother is a much better reason to fight. Hiten attacks Inu again, and just when it looks like the sheath is about to break, it emits a strange pulse. Suddenly, the Tetsusaiga comes flying toward Inu, and he is able to grab it. Myouga is astounded - the sheath summoned the sword! With one swift stroke, Inu makes short work of Hiten. Hiten, as he dies, can’t believe that he and his brother were beaten by a half demon.

The five jewel shards fall to the gound, but Inuyasha doesn’t seem to care about them. He wishes that he’d beaten Hiten sooner so that Kagome and Shippo would still be alive (aawww, Inu!) Inu hears his name and turns around to find Kagome, with Shippo in her arms, surrounded by a blue flame. Kagome commends Inu for his courage, and Shippo indicates that he was finally able to avenge his father. Myouga explains to Inu that their souls have come to say their final goodbye to him before crossing over to the spirit world. When the blue flame shoots upward, Inu thinks they are leaving, and runs over to them, crying “Wait! Don’t leave me!” He grabs Kagome’s wrist and hangs on. He watches the blue flame disappear into the sky and calls Kagome’s name. Only then does he realize that he’s still holding her wrist! When Inu realizes they haven’t gone, Kagome (in a really great part), says “What’s with the ‘don’t leave me stuff’?” (classic!) Shippo realizes that the blue flame was the spirit of his fox father, which had protected them from the real flames. Myouga tries to cover up his previous mistake about their souls crossing to the other side, but Inu is infuriated. He lets go of Kagome and claims not to care if they had died or not.

As the group goes off together, Inu is still steamed for having revealed his feelings to Kagome. Inu asks why Shippo is still with them, and Shippo claims that they need him. Kagome wants Shippo to stay, and Inu agrees, but only until Shippo can look after himself. As they fade into the horizon (and in another classic Inuyasha ending), we hear Inu tell Shippo “Your village called - they’re missing their idiot.” Shippo whines to Kagome about Inu being “mean”, and she chastizes Inu, telling him to say sorry. All we hear is a crunch and Inu saying “Ow!” You gotta love it. [End]

Episode Summary for Episode 11 - Terror Of The Ancient Noh Mask. Written by Pegasus

Just FYI, KG=Kagome's grandpa and KM=Kagome's mom

This ep begins with a voice-over by Kaede in which she recaps about the jewel and about Kikyo’s reincarnation as Kagome. We then see the well in the forest, and Kagome hiding in the bushes on her bike. Thinking the coast is clear, she pedals quickly toward the well. She is stopped by Inu, who jumps between her and the well, saying that she has to give him the jewel shards before going anywhere. Kagome tells him that, in her time, girls go to school, and that she has an important test to study for. Inwardly, Kagome worries that she might fail the class, even if she aces the exam. Inu picks up a huge boulder, and when Kagome asks what he’s doing, he says that he’s going to cover the well for good so that she can’t go home. As he starts to throw the boulder over the well, Kagome yells “Sit!” (eight times in a row!). Inu falls flat on his face and the boulder lands on his back. Ouch! While Inu groans miserably, Kagome tells him to “stay”, and that she’ll be back in three days, and that he shouldn’t follow her. She then jumps into the well.

In present time, KG and Sota are in the well shrine. KG is chanting a spell. Sota believes it to be a waste of time, but KG says that the sacred “get-out-of-the-well” chant has been passed down through generations of Higurashi priests (there’s another classic Inuyasha line!). Sota then asks why, if the spell is supposed to work, has it been three days and Kagome still hasn’t come home? We then see Kagome coming through into the well, at the same time that her grandfather picks up some rice wine and tosses it into the well. She gets drenched! Her grandfather sees her and believes that his chanting has paid off. She thanks him sarcastically. Her grandfather and brother then proceed to argue back and forth about Sota’s future as a priest, a soccer player, or a doctor, while Kagome gets no help at all out of the well!

Next scene, Kagome is eating at the table, with her cat Buyo in her lap, who sneezes. Kagome wonders if the cat has a cold, then thinks that maybe her hair still smells gross. Her mother comes into the kitchen with Kagome’s school uniform all clean, and Sota asks Kagome where Inu is. Kagome replies that she has better things to do than babysit a demon all day. Kagome (inwardly) believes that her life is getting too complicted. We then get a voice-over by Kagome as she explains her background and the fact that they have the sacred well on their property, which leads to the feudal era. As she and Sota head for school, she tells herself that this is not a dream and she has to deal with it. As she takes off for school, we see that she has left the jewel shards back at her house, and a strange box in the storehouse on their property starts to glow (seemingly in response to the presence of the shards).

Kagome is greeted by her friends outside the school. They ask her how she’s doing, as they’ve heard many stories about her “ailments” (getting bitten by the cat, putting her back out, having ringworm, etc.). Kagome realizes that her grandfather has been making things up to cover her absence. A boy (Hojo) then approaches Kagome from behind on a bike, and asks her how she’s making out with her double whammy - bunions and gout (poor Kagome!). [Note, the other girls think of this guy as a “hunk”, and, obviously intimidated by him, retreat a ways behind Kagome]. He hands her a package wrapped in pink paper, indicating that it’s for her “ailments”. Kagome is dumbstruck and doesn’t know what to say as Hojo takes off, waving goodbye. Her friends surround her, asking her if she’s going out with Hojo, and she says no, because she doesn’t have time. They think that he must like Kagome.

In their classroom, the girls ask Kagome if she is excited, and then wonder if she likes someone else. Kagome says no, so they ask her what her ideal guy would be like (sporty or intellectual?). As Kagome thinks about it, flashbacks of Inuyasha come to her mind. She says that he wouldn’t be aggressive or get mad easily, and that he would be kind and understanding; he’d bring her flowers and write her poetry... (obviously the exact opposite of Inu). Her friends decide to take that as an “undecided”, and wonder if she’s still sick (classic!).

Back in Inu’s time, he is lying on his stomach in Kaede’s hut. He tries to get up, but can’t. Kaede tells him to stop lazing around, and go look for information on the jewel. He tells her that his back is out of commission (or hadn’t she noticed?) from all the “sit” commands that Kagome yelled at him. Inwardly, he indicates that Kagome will pay for it when she gets back.

Present time again, and KG is on the grounds. He smells smoke, and discovers that the storehouse is on fire! When he enters, the strange box breaks apart to reveal a mask. KG indicates that the Noh Mask has burned through the spell strips (talismans) that have kept it sealed for generations. The Mask says that it must have a body. KG pours water over his head and pulls out some more talismans, saying that an ancient ancestor once exorcised the mask from a Noh actor (it was called the “flesh-eating mask”) and that he must do everything possible to contain its evil. Before he can really do anythin, a roof support beam falls down and pins him to the floor. The Mask zooms toward him!

An ambulance races down the street past Kagome as she walks home from school. She overhears some boys saying that the Higurashi Shrine is on fire, and races home. She finds her mother standing in the courtyard and learns that her grandfather was in the fire, but is fine; he just fainted and suffered from a bit of smoke inhalation. KM is going to visit him in the hospital, and Kagome wants to go, but her mother tells her to stay and look after Sota when he gets home. Kagome agrees, then inwardly wonders how a fire could start in the storehouse, thinking it suspicious.

In the storehouse, two firemen walk through the wreckage, and the Noh Mask comes up out of a pool of water, planting itself on one of the firemen’s faces. Sota then arrives home and Kagome tells him that everything is okay. Suddenly, a firetruck starts plowing through all the police cars and takes off down the street. Kagome and Sota hear a news report about the firetruck going wild through the streets, and that anyone crossing its path has mysteriously disappeared! Yikes! We see that the Mask is driving the firetruck, and the fireman’s body it took over is disintegrating. The Mask wants to get more jewel shards so that it can have a body that will last.

At the hospital, Kagome is outside her grandpa’s room and asks her mother how grandpa is doing. Her mother says that he’s still unconscious, but that he should have woken up by now because his injuries weren’t that bad. She attributes it to age, then Kagome sees some talismans in her mother’s hand and asks what they are. KM tells her that the firemen found the talismans plastered over grandpa’s face and in his mouth, saying that something must have really scared him. KG then begins muttering “Beware the ancient flesh-eating mask”.

That night at home, Kagmoe and Sota are alone, because KM stayed at the hospital with KG. Sota asks if he can sleep in Kagome’s room, because he’s scared. Kagome says no, she has to study for a test and he has nothing to be afraid of. He reminds her that grandpa was afraid, then the windows begin to shake. Kagome realizes that something is wrong, because they’ve never had trouble like this at the Shrine in generations. She then sees the jewel shards on her desk and figures that they must be causing the trouble.

Kagome hears sirens outside. Police have set up a barricade to stop the firetruck. It stops, and the Mask flies off of its previous body, then smashes through the police cars, absorbing most of the policmen in a black goop. The Mask is now at the head of an insolid mass of black goop. KG wakes up in the hospital, screaming warnings about the Noh Mask. We see the firetruck smash into a wall outside the Shrine, and the ladder extends forward, smashing into Kagome’s room. She and Sota hit the floor, then she sees the Mask and realizes that it is what her grandfather was warning them about.

The Mask goes for the jar containing the jewel shards as it rolls off Kagome’s desk and onto the floor. Kagome dives for it and grabs it, and the glass breaks in her hand. She grabs Sota and runs out of the house. As she runs down the street, pulling Sota along behind, she says that she has to get Inu. Sota notices that her hand is bleeding, and she says to forget about it. Meanwhile, the Mask exits Kagome’s house, and flies down to the ground between Kagome and Sota, separating them.

Kagome notices that the Mask has a jewel shard in its forehead. She tells Sota to run to the well and get Inu. If Sota tells Inu that there are more jewel shards here, he will come to help them. Kagome then runs, luring the Mask away from Sota. Sota is afraid of the spooky well, but Kagome reassures him that he can handle it. As the Mask goes after Kagome, Sota runs to the well and jumps in. When he lands at the bottom (kinda hard), he wonders what went wrong, and why he hasn’t crossed over. He starts digging, saying that he has to get through in order to save his sister. He panics and starts crying, and a blue light suddenly appears under him. In a “heroic” shot, Inu rises up from the ground (out of the blue mist), and Sota is awed, saying that he must be Inuyasha. Inu says yes, and asks how he can help.

Inu flies over the city with Sota on his back. He tells Sota to hang on because it’s a long way down. Sota says that he must not have been strong enough to pass through the well, and Inu says that’s a good thing, because there are many bad monsters in his world. Inu lands on a truck that is travelling down the highway, and Sota asks him if he knows where to find his sister. Inu says yes: because he’s not human, he can pick up scents easily. Sota says that Kagome cut her hand, which Inu already knows. He says he could smell the blood from all the way back in the well. Inu promises to save Kagome before she gets into any real trouble. Sota then flashes back to when Kagome described Inu as a whiny, egotistical showoff who is a real pain. He doesn’t believe that this could possibly be the same person Kagome was talking about, and believes that Inu is the only person he can trust.

Meanwhile, Kagome has reached a construction site and is up on a level of a building that is still under construction. She wonders what’s taking Inu so long to get there. The Mask flies up and blocks her path, then asks for the Shikon shards. As the Mask closes in on Kagome, Inu shows up and uses his iron reaver soul stealer attack. The black goop is split into two halves. Inu lands and lets Sota off his back. Sota asks if Kagome is alright (which she is), and Inu notices tears in his eyes. He asks Sota why he’s crying, when Sota said that he wasn’t afraid. Kagome reassures Sota that everything will be okay, because Inu will destroy the monster.

At this point, Inu clears his throat and asks for an apology before he continues with his “rescue mission”. Kagome asks him what for, and he reminds her of the “sit” chants that caused him to throw his back out (“and now she has the gall to ask me for help?”). Kagome remembers and apologizes in a rather fast and sarcastic manner, asking him if he’s satisfied. He turns his back on her and says it sounds like she’s apologizing for stepping on his foot. He then threatens to go back to his time. Kagome says he can’t leave her and Sota there, and that the Mask has a shard of the sacred jewel. Meanwhile, Sota can’t believe that Inu is refusing to save them over a stupid apology! He wonders what happened to his “hero”, who seems to be shrinking before his eyes.

Kagome points out that the Mask has regained its composure, and it asks who attacked it. Kagome tells Inu to aim for the Mask, as the shard is in the forehead. The Mask then recites a brief history of how it came into being: it was carved from a giant tree centuries ago, that had one of the Shikon shards in it. Since then, it craved human flesh and devoured its victims, but now it wants a body that will not rot, so it needs more power from the jewel. Kagome understands now why it wants the jewel shards so badly. Inu tells the Mask that he doesn’t know how many humans it has devoured, but that it’s time for it to lose weight. Ha ha! He attacks it.

When Inu punches the Mask, it divides in two and absorbs his fist, then pulls him into the black goop entirely. Kagome calls his name but he is surrounded by a blue energy field inside the goop, and he says that he should have known better. The Mask rises out of the goop and melds itself together again, then attacks Kagome. She falls back and holds it off with one hand, saying that she can’t let it have the shards. She tosses the shards to Sota and tells him to run. He does. The Mask turns and follows him. Kagome shouts a warning to Sota, but he trips and falls, dropping the shards. He momentarily thinks of tossing them away, but realizes that that won’t work. He picks them up again, and then gets up and runs. He reaches the end of the platform and realizes that he has nowhere to go. He turns around as the Mask comes flying toward him!

Inu breaks free of the black goop using the Tetsusaiga and immediately runs for the Mask. He tells Sota not to move, then proceeds to destroy the Mask with the Tetsusaiga, only inches in front of Sota! The jewel shard falls to the floor. Sota looks up with excitement at Inu, marvelling that he destroyed the Mask. Inu casually swings the Tetsusaiga over his shoulder and says “Sure thing. You still got those jewel fragments?”, to which Sota says yes, and looks at Inu with wide, awestruck eyes (aww).

The sun begins to rise, and Kagome approaches Inu from behind. She says his name, and when he turns around, he still has the Tetsusaiga swung over his shoulder. He asks her if she’s alright, and how her hand is. She says fine, but she seems a bit taken aback, inwardly wondering when he started being so nice (“I mean, not so nice... but kinda nice”). I love that. She then notes how cool he looks in the morning light, with his sword swung over his shoulder.... It then hits her that it’s morning, and she hasn’t studied for her test! She turns and runs, and when Inu asks her where she’s going, she thanks him and says that it’s been “a slice” (ha ha!), and that she’ll see him when she sees him. She reminds Sota to bring the jewel shards home with him. As she disappears down the ramp leading to the ground, she yells back at Inu that he better not be there when she gets home or she’ll be really mad.

Inu feels a tug at his kimono and looks down to see Sota gawking up at him with complete admiration. Sota says “Know what? I’ve got a new hero. Bet you can’t guess who it is.” (isn’t that just so sweet?). Inu only rolls his eyes, thinking “Oh man”. We then see Kagome running down the street with her study paper in hand, trying to memorize formulas as she goes! Fun stuff.

Inuyasha and kagome was lying on green grass. They appeared really romanatis.

InuYasha Episode 011

Episode Summary for Episode 12 - The Soul Piper And The Mischevious Little Soul. Written by Cold Fire Phoenix

When we start out Inuyasha is in his time impatiently waiting for the Steel Bee's to fix Tetsusaiga, with Myouga spilling his wise lil' guts about the terrors of trying to remove the sheath earlier than the bee's care for it to be removed. Shippou arrives and is knocked to the ground, which preceedes the arrival of 'Tatarimokke', whom scares the kitsune. Inuyasha reminds the kitsune that Shippou is a youkai himself, and has nothing to fear on the basis of there being another youkai. Myouga relates the purpose of 'Tata' and gives us a little food for though before we're zapped back to Kagome's time.

Initially she's in school, but the important things happen when she's walking to some unremembered place with her friends and they stop at a park. Children and their mothers are playing with fireworks, and Kagome spots a little girl about to light another one in a somewhat dangerous way. The girl, Mayu I believe, lights the twirling firework which is then sped on it's way toward the mothers and children. Mayu runs off laughing, and Kagome runs after her saying that was not such a nice thing to do. Mayu is shocked that Kagome can see her, and there is a brief reinactment of the flames that consumed Mayu's bodies in life. Mayu disappears and Kagome is left on her knees where her friends find her and ask what's wrong. She brushes it off, goes home, and then we see the next main event. Kagome is told to accompany Souta to visit his comatose friend in the hospital, and on the way Souta chats with her a bit about what happened to his friend and those that visited the friend.

At the hospital, Kagome meets the mother of the comatose boy and sees Mayu under the hospital bed. Mayu pulls at the IV's and sends things flying and shattering. Mayu's mother says this has happened many times before. Kagome leaves with Souta, who goes into detail concerning the terrible happenings around the comatose boy, and Kagome asks to see the apartment in which his older sibling, Mayu, perished. Once there, a helpful Mayu drops a pot on the siblings, jumps off the high balcony, proclaims her wish for vengence, sends vegitation flying, and annoys 'Tata'.

Kagome returns to the past to ask for Myouga's helpful information, is told by Inuyasha that ghosts are completely different than youkai, and is greeted by the sight of Kagome having left half-way through his speech. Kagome plans on returning to the hospital, and catches the mother on her way out. Something goes wrong in the comatose boy's room, and they rush back up through the hospital. They enter the room to find Mayu in the room, and everything gets worse. She slams her mother to the hallway wall without touching her, proclaims once more her incredible hatred of both parent and sibling, and then rocks Kagome's world and forces the hospital bed to spill out the window she had earlier broken.

Kagome at first believe's the comatose boy to be a goner, but Inuyasha had apparated to save the boy and was hanging from the newly reformed Tetsusaiga's sheath that was dug into the outer walls of the hospital building. He and Kagome set off to chase down Mayu as she is dragged back to the site of her death by 'Tata', and he warns her that he knows nothing of handling ghosts. They arrive at the burned out apartment, and Kagome is still on Inuyasha's back as they enter.

Kagome disappears from Inuyasha's back because the hell Mayu is being dragged into is one meant only for humans. As Inuyasha was not currently in a human state, or perhaps merely because he is hanou and thusly half youkai, Kagome was the only one of the pair allowed access. She then finds the little girl, who proclaims her hatred for her mother and the desire for her brother's death or something of the like for the umpteenth time, and is promptly wrapped in chains and dragged into a crevice to hell. Kagome prevents her from being dragged into the depths by grabbing onto the young child's arms and telling her that this wasn't what she really wanted except in much different context.

Mayu eventually starts crying after asking Kagome if her mother was mad at her. So sad, but the little girl is able to let go of her fear/hatred and the chains dragging her to hell break. Kagome pulls her up, and then we cut to the next day when the little girl's mother visits the apartment and sees the child. They more or less make up, and then the little girl goes off playing with 'Tata'. She pays Kagome a visit in the kimono her mother had made for her before, well, going away. Inuyasha more or less commends her on how she handled the situation.

Inuyasha and Kagome on Sakura tree. They are look very romantic`s.

InuYasha Episode 012

Episode Summary for Episode 13 - The Mystery Of The New Moon And The Black Haired Inuyasha(part 1). Written by Pegasus

Present day, and Kagome is in her classroom. She grabs her bag and dashes for the door. Her friends say she’s on cleaning duty, so Kagome says that she has to meet someone and that she’ll make it up to them later. As she goes to leave, she bumps into someone. It’s Hojo! He drops something on the floor, which he claims is a remedial instrument that “hits all the pressure points”. Kagome’s friends marvel at Hojo’s persistence, and think he would have been better off with flowers (good one). Hojo tells Kagome that he knows “sitting bothers her”, but could she make it through a two-hour movie? Her friends surround her and pull her aside. While Kagome can’t believe that Hojo just asked her out, her friends say she should go, and that she’ll be the envy of all the girls. One of the girls mentions that it’ll be her first date, which the others can’t believe. Kagome says that she has so been out on dates before, but inwardly says “not!”.

Kagome agrees to go out with Hojo, so he says he’ll pick her up on Saturday at “half past six”, then he leaves. The word “past” reminds Kagome that she has to go back to feudal Japan, and worries that she won’t make it back to her time for her first date! Scene switch, and Kagome is in the well shrine with Inu. She asks Inu what the chances are of her getting back by Saturday, to which he responds “fair to moderate, if we’re lucky”. He picks her up and holds her over the well, then he asks her what exactly Saturday is again. Her hopes are dashed! Inu then drops a disappointed Kagome into the well.

In feudal Japan, the gang is travelling down a river in a small boat. Kagome is enjoying herself and the scenery, and the grumpy Inu tells her to focus. We see that Shippo is leaning over the side of the boat (seasick!). Inu wonders how Shippo can call himself a demon when he gets seasick, and Shippo replies that he’s not doing it on purpose. The grumpy Inu believes that they won’t find the jewel shards unless Kagome and Shippo get serious.

Inu then notices spider webs crossing their path. He stands up in the boat and hacks them down. He fingers the web strands in his hand and finds them strange. Myouga asks what kind they are, and Inu replies that it’s nothing to worry about. The group then hears a girl scream from the top of a nearby cliff, yelling for something to get away from her. A long neck extends towards her and she falls off the cliff. Inu leaps from the boat and catches her. He looks up and notes that the creature is some kind of demon. The girl then thanks Inu for saving her, until she realizes that he is a demon himself! She slaps him away and they both fall into the water!

Kagome sprays an ointment on the girl’s injured arm, while Inu mutters angrily to himself by the water. Kagome asks the girl what attacked her, and she replies that it was a demon known as a spider head. She says that they have been attacking villages in the mountains since springtime. The spiders trap humans in their webs and then devour them; a terrifying sort of monster. Kagome tells Inu that they have to do something. Inu only asks her if there was any sign of jewel fragments, and when Kagome says that she didn’t pick up anything from the spider demon, Inu says that they should get going, because he wants to cross the mountains by nightfall. Kagome tells him that they can’t just leave with a demon on the loose. The insensitive Inu says that he won’t go around killing demons every time a human comes running to him.

While Kagome wonders what has gotten into Inu, the girl gets up and says that she’s leaving, because she doesn’t like being indebted to a demon. Shippo tells her that faking some gratitude might sit better with them, and the girl then stalks away angrily. She thanks him for reminding her why she hates demons, then starts climbing up the cliff on a vine. She doesn’t get very far when the vine breaks, and she falls to the ground. Kagome asks Inu to show some “old fashioned chivalry”. (classic!)

At dusk, they reach a temple, where the girl lives. The girl is being carried by a still grumpy Inu, and she’s not happy about it either. They are greeted by an old priest, who asks “Nazuna” if she is okay. She leaps off of Inu’s back and runs to kneel before her master. He says he was worried that she might be attacked by a spider head, and she says that it attacked her while she attended the “gravesite”. She tells him that she had no choice but to rely on her “demon” companions, and apologizes to her master. Shippo points out that not all demons are the same, and the priest agrees. Inu says not to worry, because they’re leaving anyway, but the priest insists that they stay. Nazuna protests, but the priest tells her to go and prepare a meal for the guests. She agrees reluctantly and goes off.

The priest asks forgiveness for Nazuna’s rudeness, explaining that her parents were killed by spider heads and that she’s hated demons ever since. Kagome asks if they might run into any more spider heads when they cross the mountains, and the priest explains that, as the number of men who die in wars increases, so do the spider heads (by a lot). Now worried, Kagome asks Inu if they can stay at the temple, but he says that they’re on a quest and can’t slow down just because of spider demons. The priest asks them again to stay and reassures them that he has posted sutras throughout the temple to keep the spiders away. Inu agrees, believing that there’s no point in arguing with Kagome.

Later that night, the gang relaxes in a room of the temple. Shippo comments on the nice meal, and believes that they should stay a few more days, so they can get to know Nazuna better. Kagome teases Shippo about a nice meal changing his attitude, and he says that he liked Nazuna from the start anyway. Inu is sitting by the window, noting how late it is. Kagome asks him “why the long face?”, and he replies “it’s nothing”. Then Kagome comes right up to him, and he asks her what the problem is. She says she knows what’s wrong..... he’s afraid of spiders! Shippo shapeshifts into a spider and ridicules Inu. Inu smacks him on the head, so Kagome takes that as a “yes”. Inu says he’s not afraid of spiders, then heads out the door. He says that he’s going to sleep outside. He then suddenly realizes that the forest surrounding the temple is infested with spiders, and wonders how he could have missed their scent. The spider heads surround the gang, from both outside and inside the temple! Yikes.

Myouga tells Inu that the spiders are numerous, but not formidable, and is he up for some after-dinner exercise? Oh yeah! Inu pulls out the Tetsusaiga and remarks that the old priest’s sutras didn’t work. Meanwhile, Nazuna runs to find her master to tell him that the spiders have surrounded the temple, but she finds him already pinned to the ground by webs!

Outside, Inu starts eliminating the spiders. He tells Kagome and Shippo to run, and that he’ll be right behind them. When they start to protest, Inu tells them to do what he says, and that he can take care of the demons. Shippo wonders why Inu’s acting so strange, while Kagome wonders why the Tetsusaiga isn’t transforming (it is still in its steel form). The spiders shoot more webs at Inu, and he is overwhelmed by them. Shippo uses his foxfire to push the spiders back, and Kagome pulls Inu from the webs (although he is still covered in them). Meanwhile, still pinned in another room in the temple, the priest tells Nazuna that his sutras aren’t strong enough any more to keep back the spiders. She cries out for her master.

Inu, Shippo and Kagome have escaped into the forest. Inu is still covered in spider webs, and appears to be tired. As Kagome kneels beside him, he curses under his breath, and Kagome asks him what’s wrong. He tells her to leave him alone, but she then pulls back the spider webs on his head, revealing his black hair! Inu tells Kagome and Shippo that they shouldn’t worry about him and should worry more about themselves. Kagome remarks that he has black hair, but Inu just gets up and walks over to sit under a tree as he removes the remaining spider webs from his head. He tells them that they can’t rely on his strength this time.

Confused, Shippo asks what he means by that, and Kagome still can’t believe that Inu looks the way he does. She asks “Is that you?” (classic). Inu sarcastically responds “No, I’m a talking puppet”. Shippo jumps on his head and remarks that his dog ears are gone. Kagome says that he’s human, and Inu tells Shippo that he’s lucky the fangs and claws are gone (he pulls Shippo off of his head, forcefully). Kagome asks what the heck is going on, and Myouga then explains that all half-demons go through periods when they lose their powers for a short time. Kagome doesn’t understand, and Myouga says that during those periods, half-demons are no stronger than any other human. For Inu, the period falls on the first night of new cycle, when the moon is dark. Kagome understands now: it happens at the start of the month, when the moon is invisible (like tonight).

Myouga asks Inu why he didn’t tell them that his “period of vulnerability” was at hand, and Inu replies that he figured Myouga would take off. Myouga is offended by the idea. Kagome then asks why Inu didn’t trust her either. If she had known about what would happen to him, she wouldn’t have insisted that they stay at the temple. So much for leaning on your close friends! Inu angrily tells her that he doesn’t trust anyone, and she is taken aback by his comment. He then tells her that it has nothing to do with her, he’s just lived that way all his life, to protect himself. Kagome says she understands, but that she wished Inu had opened up to her more as a friend. She starts crying, and Inu feels bad, saying that it’s him who’s supposed to be down! (aww). Kagome says that because of Inu’s pride, they’re in a real mess now! She gets mad at him and calls him a doh-head (yeah Kagome!).

Part 2 to follow...

Episode Summary for Episode 13 (part 2) - The Mystery Of The New Moon And The Black Haired Inuyasha. Written by Pegasus

Inu and Kagome start to fight, and while they do, Shippo ponders the fact that, since Inu is rendered mortal, it’s up to him to be the protector now, and that he’ll have to be courageous. The bushes beside him suddenly start to shake, and he runs in fear to Inu, yelling “someone save me!”. I just love Shippo. Nazuna comes out of the bushes, and Kagome remarks that she made it out of the temple. Nazuna kneels tiredly on the ground, and says they must go back to save the priest. She believes that Inu is strong and can handle the spider demons.

Inu reminds Nazuna of what she’d been saying before about not wanting to be obliged to demons, and tells her to get the priest to use more of his sutras. Nazuna then makes a comment about his “countenance being altered” and about his dark hair. Inu replies “It’s not easy being human”. That was a good line. Kagome suddenly remembers that she left her backpack in the temple. Inu doesn’t think it’s a big deal, and tells her to get a new one, but she reminds him that the jewel shards are in it. Inu freaks out, yelling “What!?”

Kagome says she’ll make it up to him, and she cringes when he suddenly thrusts the Tetsusaiga toward her. He tells her to take it, and that she and Nazuna should stay there and not move. The Tetsusaiga won’t transform for him on this night anyway, and he believes he can handle a few spider demons on his own strength. Kagome takes the sword, asking Inu if he’s sure. Inu tells Shippo that it’s time to go back to the temple, and Shippo asks why he has to go. We then see Inu walking away with Shippo under his arm (Shippo's telling himself that he can handle it).

Back in the temple, the priest is rummaging through Kagome’s backpack, and finds the jewel shards, but they are knocked from his hand by pieces of wood that Inu throws at him. The jewel shards scatter on the floor. Inu says that the priest (who looks kinda like a spider now) was planning this all along. The priest says that he was excited when he saw Inu, the half-demon rumoured to have the jewel shards. Shippo begins collecting the jewel shards, but only picks up a few before the priest knocks him back (by extending his neck). The priest then inhales the remaining jewel shards!

The spider-priest’s arm extends out to grab Inu by the neck, pinning him to the wall. He notes that it’s unfortunate for Inu that his powers have deserted him while the spider-priest completes his web of deceit. Inu says that even with his powers gone, he can still beat the priest. He escapes the priest’s restraining hand, but when he tries to charge the spider-priest, it shoots out a web that knocks Inu down and pins him to the floor. Shippo tries to use foxfire, but he's knocked away by the spider-priest. Now suspended from the ceiling in a mass of webs, Inu can only watch as the priest turns into a full spider demon! It then zooms toward Inu and sinks its fangs (and venom) into his shoulder. Ow! As Inu yells in pain, Shippo shouts up at him from the floor. The spider asks Shippo where he’s hidden the other jewel shards, and Shippo replies “over there” (pointing to his far left). The spider doesn’t believe him.

Kagome and Nazuna then show up. Nazuna can’t believe what’s happened to her master, and Kagome tells her that the spider-priest has been deceiving her. Shippo informs Kagome that Inu has been poisoned, and we see Inu collapsing in the massive web. Kagome tells him to hold on, she’s coming. The spider shoots webs at her, but she uses the Tetsusaiga to ward them off (she seems surprised that it worked). Myouga appears and tells her that the sword is protecting her as it did before. Kagome remarks that because Myouga is still here, they must have a good chance of winning this fight. Myouga is offended! Ha ha. The spider says that he’s injected Inu with a large amount of poison, and that he should be feeling the effects already. Nazuna asks her master how he could do such a thing.

As Kagome climbs up on the spider’s web, Inu tells her to save herself and that it’s too late for him. She disagrees, and yells that she’s not leaving without him! As she leaps up toward him, Inu notices tears in her eyes, and seems surprised. With a bright flare, Kagome cuts the webs with the Tetsusaiga, and she and Inu fall to the ground. She yells to Shippo that they have to get out of there, but it seems that they’re surrounded. Nazuna says that there’s another small room at the end of the hall, so the three grab the unconscious Inu and drag him to the room.

Once inside, Myouga tells Kagome to thrust the Tetsusaiga into the door. She plunges it into the wood, and it acts as a barrier to keep the spiders out. The spider-priest is infuriated! Kagome grabs Inu’s hand and says that he’s freezing. She tells him to stay with them, and tries to speak to him, but he doesn’t answer. Kagome believes that what’s happened is her fault, thinking it’s because she wanted to stay at the temple. Nazuna tells her not to blame herself. Myouga then sucks the poison out of Inu’s blood, and when he does so, he gets much larger (almost life size). This is really funny, because he looks at the camera and says “Nice to meet you. I’m Myouga. Always a beast, never a burden”. Go Myouga! He then collapses beside Shippo (who is already asleep), and says Inu’s survival will depend on his own strength now.
Kagome notices that Inu is breathing heavily and sweating, so she takes out a cloth to wipe his forehead. When she does so, he opens his eyes. She asks if she woke him up, and he replies no. He then turns his head away from her, and asks why she was crying in the other room when she saved him. She says that she was afraid she was going to lose him, and that he was going to die. Inu seems surprised (kinda tenderly) that she shed tears for him. He then asks that, if it’s not too much trouble, can he lie on her lap? Still surprised, she agrees.

While the others sleep, Myouga returns to his normal size. Sunlight then begins to peek through the window, and we see that Inu is resting his head on Kagome’s lap. She asks how he’s feeling (better than before?), and without opening his eyes, he says yes. He then tells her that she smells kinda nice. Kagome’s like “what”, and gets a bit annoyed, saying that she thought he hated her scent? Inu replies that he lied when he said that! Aww Inu! Kagome is quite surprised, and inwardly wonders if the poison has gone to Inu’s head. However, the way he’s talking has her heart pounding.... She tells Inu that she’s confused, but he’s fallen asleep! Figures.

Suddenly, the room begins to shake, and Myouga says that the spider priest is going to break in, and that they have to get Inu out of there. Kagome says they’ll have to carry him, because he’s unconscious, but before they can move, the spider priest breaks in. The Tetsusaiga falls to the floor, and the spider priest then destroys the rest of the temple! He grabs Shippo and shakes him upside down. The jewel shards fall out of Shippo’s pocket, and the spider priest grabs them. Kagome catches Shippo as he falls, and the spider demon then consumes the shards. Nazuna sees the Tetsusaiga lying beside her and grabs it, at the same time the spider priest sheds the rest of his human face. Nazuna approaches it with the Tetsusaiga, chastizing it for using the body of her master. The spider replies that there never really was a priest; it was all a trap to lure Inu out. Nazuna can’t believe that the supposed “priest” killed her parents and all the other villagers.

Angry now, Nazuna hacks at the spider’s legs, but it grabs her and lifts her up with one of its hands. It says that her fear of spiders will now be over, because it will consume her. Nazuna asks forgiveness from her father for ever trusting this monster, and she drops the Tetsusaiga. But guess who catches it? Inu! He’s now back on his feet and the sword practically falls right into his hand. He tells Nazuna that she has a lot of determination, for a human. She can’t believe he’s alive!

The spider demon grabs Inu with several of its arms, and Kagome calls his name. The sun starts to rise (pointed out by Shippo), and the spider lifts Inu up, saying that he’s a fine human specimen. Inu says “Don’t be so sure about that”, and in a pretty cool sequence, a pulse emits from Inu as the sun rises behind him and he turns back into a demon. The spider tries to devour him before he transforms, but it’s too late. Inu says “If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s an arrogant spider who doesn’t know when to keep his hands off!”. That was great. Inu slashes the spider’s arms away and then says “The moonless night has come to an end”. The Tetsusaiga transforms into its energy form (finally) and Inu destroys the spider demon. All of the other spider heads disappear too.

The jewel shards fall to the ground, and Kagome notices that they fused together while inside the spider’s body. The jewel looks not-quite-halfway completed. Inu remarks “Is that all we have?”, thinking they had a lot more. Kagome says that it’s enough to impress her.

The gang (now back in the boat) leave Nazuna on the shore near a village, and she thanks Inu for his help, saying she’ll try to remember that not all demons are bad. As the gang floats away, Inu tells Nazuna not to kid herself, and that all demons are bad. She yells back that she won’t forget him, and that she’ll keep him in her prayers. He turns his back, saying “whatever”, but he does give her a little wave! I thought that was cute.

As they travel back down the river, Kagome notes that Inu (who is silent) seems like his old self. She wonders if she heard him right when he said that she smelled nice. She sees that his body has transformed back, but she's unsure as to his feelings toward her. She wonders if she should ask him. Inu turns around and sees her staring at him, and gets mad, saying that if she has something to say, say it! Kagome decides that some things are better left unsaid. Shippo, hanging out over the back of the boat, asks if they can stop for a short rest. Inu says sure, once he gets over his seasickness! It then sounds like Shippo throws up on Inu (on purpose!)
