Agustina Quinteros of La Pampa has been crowned Miss Argentina 2008.Agustina Quinteros will represent Argentina in the 58th Miss World 2008 Pageant at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa on the 12th December 2008.

Charmaine moved with her family to Belize at the age of 9, and spent her formative years exploring the beautiful Maya ruins and famed barrier reef.
Currently she is about to start her final semester at St John's University in New York, after which she will earn a bachelor's degree with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Philosophy of Physical Sciences, her ambition is to dedicate herself to becoming a neurosurgeon and work through "Doctors Without Borders", she is also employed as a ‘General, organic & biological Chemistry Tutor.
Sporting interests are; rock climbing; swimming; track & field; hiking; cycling.
In Belize she fell in love with performing arts and all its elements: From singing; song writing; to playing piano; dancing; acting; etc., this has allowed her to express her own creative voice; and inspired her to write short stories.
Stuffed clams, lobsters, and crab cakes are her favourite sea foods.
Charmaine has tons of patience, because it takes a lot of that to read Physical Chemistry Quantum Mechanics books!

Jackelin lives in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, a country with a great heritage and many touristic attractions: In the West is the highest lake in the world ‘Lake Titicaca' and the salt flats in Uyuni; In the East the hanging gardens and natural caves in Samaipata and rich tropical forests.
Jacquelin is currently at University studying Marketing and Publicity, and enjoying her role as Miss Bolivia.
Her ambition is to own her own fashion, design and modelling company.
Sports and leisure interests are: volleyball; athletics; reading; cooking; singing; dancing; playing the piano and guitar; and listening to a wide variety of music with a preference for: Samba, hip hop, salsa and electronic music.

Tamara grew up in Ipatinga in the state of Minas Gerais, although the area has one of the largest steel complexes in Brazil its main park has over 12,000 trees, making it very green.
Tamara commenced her studies in Law at the age of just 17, and is now in her 5th year, her ambition is to become a Judge.
Sports and leisure interests are: diving; swimming; cycling; boxing; yoga; martial arts; volleyball; boating (she is addicted to sports); classical ballet and jazz (6 years); flamenco dance; travel; music; reading; going to the theatre and the movies; and she has learnt a little Chinese.
Favourite food is Japanese.

Leah was born in Hamilton, Ontario and raised in Stoney Creek. Canada is a multicultural country where the doors are always open.
Leah has completed her second year at McMaster University with a double Honours Bachelor of Arts in Health & Social Work, she is a university student, professional model and works in Public Relations and Promotions at Family Fitness Women's Centres.
Her ambition is to work with children and mental health illnesses.

Nataly grew up in the capital, Santiago. Chile is surrounded by the Andes and the Pacific, it has a diverse landscape: deserts in the North; glaciers in the South. The main export is wine and copper.
Nataly has worked in TV and has hosted a show featuring Chile's natural treasures, she is also a student of veterinary medicine.
Sports and leisure interests are: acting; reading poetry (favourite book is "20 Love Poems and One Desperate Song" by Pablo Neruda; listening & dancing to Latin music; canoeing; rafting; parachuting; travelling.

Maria grew up in Naranjo, a little town in San Juan, Costa Rico, with an ancient heritage, many National Museums, Parks and Biological Reserves that have a 3% of the biodiversity of the world. It also has many beautiful beaches, lakes, rivers, mountains and volcanos.
Maria specialised in English at High School and graduated in conversational English. She is now at university studying for a degree in English, after which she intends to take a degree in International Business.
Maria's leisure interests include: watching TV with her family and friends; listening to classical music; reading and dancing. Sporting interests are: volleyball and running. She enjoys all healthy food but her favourite is her mothers "special Chicken Pie". Maria has taken various temporary jobs during her vacations; the most unusual was coffee picking.

Marjorie was born in the capital, Guayaquil, but grew up in Duran a small city close by.
She has completed two years of her course for communication at Guayaguil's University; is fulfilling her role as Miss Ecuador; has presented a sports TV programme and worked as a model. Her ambition is to be a good journalist.
Sporting & leisure interests are: basketball; singing; dance; and looking after her shitzu called Mao.
The craziest thing she has ever done was on vacation in Ambato, she was the first of her group to bungee jump; it was an exciting experience but would never do it again.
Favourite food is "ceviche", which is a delicious meal of different sea foods from the Ecuadorian coast.

Gabriela's proudest moment was when she graduated from the French school with an honours degree in French.
She has taught first graders; and has been a rock climbing instructor, her ambition is to take a degree in political science in order to realise her dream of becoming a journalist.

Gabriela was born in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay. A country with wonderful landscapes contrasting with rivers, hills and lakes. The capital was founded in 1537 on a bank over the bay of the Paraguay River.
Gabriela's career ambitions are firstly to conclude her university studies at the American University in Asuncion and become through it a recognised Commercial Engineer.
Interests are swimming, navigating the Internet, reading, Jazz and Paraguayan dance and sharing her free time with friends. Her proudest moment was when she opened the doors of her own little cybercafé which was brought by her own efforts and sacrifices. She also enjoys all kinds of pastries.

Annmarie was born in Miami, Florida, and grew up in Lima, the capital of Peru. A country rich with ethnic cultures and races, and has a diverse climate and vegetation.
She has completed her high school education gaining an acceptance to college; she plans to take a language degree and study to become a veterinarian. Her passion is protecting animals from abuse.
Sporting and leisure interests are: volley ball, soccer; reading, listening to Latin ballads, and has a special talent for mime. Her proudest day was when she graduated from High School with honors and a first place diploma in maths.
Favourite food is the national dish of Peru ‘ceviche de pescado'.

Mireille Nederbiel, aged 24, was crowned Miss Suriname 2008 in an event held at the national stadium in Paramaribo with the participation of 12 candidates. Hannely was born in a taxi cab at midnight under a full moon in Caracas. Her 7 brothers and 3 sisters say that is why she is a bit of a lunatic.

She is currently a student in psychology and fulfilling her role as Miss Venezuela, it is her ambition to take her masters in merchandising and advertising.

Hannely once worked in an ice cream shop from which she was fired for giving away the ice cream to the homeless.
