UK couple robbed in Camps Bay Cape Town

Two British tourists were attacked and robbed in Cape Town.

An elderly couple on holiday from England visiting Cape Town were robbed while walking from Camps Bay along Victoria Road to Clifton on Tuesday around 15.00.

The couple were taking a walk when an unknown man ran up from behind them and grabbed the woman's handbag.

However, she held onto it and the robber pulled at it, dragging her across the road.

Emergency services ER24 media liaison Tristan Wadeley said the couple were treated on the scene and were then taken to hospital for further treatment.
